Welcome to Avaleur, a medieval fantasy roleplay site where anything is a possibility. Face bandits, or knights. Work your way up to become part of Avaleur's castle, or try your luck at being a thief. Own a shop, be a guild master, start a family. The possibilities are endless.
Roe saw the shrug and pursed his lips. He'd investigate later, after his words with Namari. So far, however, she was doing a fine job at speaking to the people.

Namari was relieved with the clapping. She did not even notice those who did not support her, she just felt so good to know that the people did not hate her. She smiled at them in warmth, feeling welcomed.
"Remember that it is not I who am the heart of this city. Remember that I am not the one who will make it great. Know this; The people are the heart of this city. The people, along with myself, will make this city great together. We will not show weakness, or fear. We will show our bravery and strength, for those we have lost and those we will gain. And I promise to each and every person who lives on Avaleurian land and water that I will be just, and fair. I will be truthful and strong. Most of all, I promise to be the greatest leader I can be, to bring the citizens of Avaleur everything that I can give them."
"If anyone wishes to ask any questions, please, feel free to. I will answer each question as truthfully as I can," Namari waited.
Nobody in the crowd said anything, they only cheered. Roe turned to Namari. "Now would be a good time to wave and blow a kiss before heading back in." He said. He would hunt down the hooded figure later on.

Namari nodded with a small chuckle. "You may now return to your daily lives. Everyone, have a lovely day. And thank you for listening!" blowing the audience a kiss and a large smile, Namari turned around and walking back inside. Once out of sight from the crowd, she gave a big huff and ran a hand through her hair.
"Went better than expected..." she muttered.

As the crowd was cheering and praising their new queen of Avaleur, Ryn and most of the Crux clan were on the balcony of town hall. Ryn had both his hands on the railing looking sullen and guilty. Nat was next to him. Dax sat on the railing, one leg over and his arms crossed.
"All this time I had been trying to get him thrown off the throne....." Ryn said. "And now he's dead....all this time I'd been telling everyone in the city what a crappy job he was doing...and someone went and killed him." "It's not your fault..." Nat said putting her hand on Ryn's shoulder. "Yeah....right.." Dax said sarcastically. Nat shot him a dirty look. "Oh come on. The kid had it coming, he was way too young to be on the throne. You should have been King, Master Ryn, the tournament was beyond rigged. And now the one who created the tournament, the leader of the knights is now Queen. Am I the only one who's finding this a little suspicious." They all looked down at Namari who blew a kiss to the crowd and went inside. "Face it," Dax said. "Who was it that gave us permission to live in Avaleur? Her. Who was it that dated public enemy number one, the werewolf? Her. And now she's going to have him released from jail....And from what I've heard, there's talk that a werewolf killed the king." "And who'd you hear that from!?" Nat asked annoyed at the dark furred Crux. "The Captain of the guards himself, it's amazing what you can hear when you shut up and listen huh?" Nat grabbed Dax's shirt and raised a fist. Dax's eyebrows furrowed but he still remained emotionless. "Listen here you little brat, I've had just about enough of your-" "Nat!" Ryn said. Nat looked at Ryn for a moment and then sighed, setting Dax down. "As I was saying.." Dax said brushing himself off, "Who else benefits from all this other than Namari? From what I can tell she's not even from here...." Ryn looked down at the dispersing crowd, could it be true? Was Dax right, is there really corruption within Avaleur's Kingdom?
Roe walked in with Namari, snatching what he flicked at Roland on the way in. Once they were inside, Roe cleared his throat. "Namari, about that word?"
Roe coughed, clearing his throat. "I don't know if you noticed, but in that crowd there were a few who didn't clap. Or cheer. Well, more than a few actually. The first thing I wanted to warn you about is the folly of man. There will always, ALWAYS, be those who vehemently oppose your reign. Maybe because you're an elf, maybe because you're female. More than likely both. That is one thing. The second thing is a bit happier. I am more than willing to stay with you as one of your advisors if you would wish it. I'd do as much as I could to assist you in your rule as far as advice wise. The next couple things I wish to discuss depend on your answer to my offer." Roe said.

"I am fully aware there will always be people who do not want certain people in power. Not everyone liked Phillis," Namari nodded, then smiled, "But it would be kind of you to become an adviser to me, thank you. So what else do you wish to discuss with me?"
"Then I will stay and be an advisor until so dismissed by you. But one of the other things I wished to speak with of is a matter of the utmost importance. Without Phillis here to keep things relatively balanced, Paineston has become much more of a threat. Actually, without that link, it may be like it was before and war may break out. Be wary of this, and in all actuality, it may be a good idea to start extensive training by the knights and trusted warriors for the ordinary citizens. Paineston has very good soldiers, as do we. But ours are more specialized, and we don't have even a tenth of their forces. That is always a danger. The second thing is in regards to the safety of the people. The guards and knights do a good job in the open, but there is always the underground that destroys a kingdom. If you wish it, I will start a small group of people whose sole purpose is to root out and destroy these cancers. Not necessarily killing, but dissolving the cells of the terrorist groups."

"It sounds like a good plan...if trouble arises between Paineston and Avaleur, I will send for my fathers help. As it is, it would be a good idea for the knights to start training the guards more than they already do," namari ran a hand though her hair with a slight frown. "Let us just hope that war does not happen in the near future. As for the small group, I will definitely think about it."
"Very much true... And should my next plan work I can guarantee quite a few soldiers as well, my queen. But should you agree to the small group, I'd gladly head it and seek out its members." Roe said.

"I'll definitely tell you if I agree to the group," Namari nodded, looking around at the people in the room. "I do hope I'm more helpful to the people than not."
"Namari, the only thing you have to worry about is your race. Men won't like that. But I know in my heart that you'll be a better ruler than Phillis was as long as you choose to be."
"Yes... I suppose so. Now, I have to go track down somebody suspicious in the crowd... Roland, if you wish to put any input to what I've said now would be the time." With that, Roe turned and lept out of the castle via the balcony and took off after the hooded man.
Roland had just walke in and now was very confused. He had the worst timing lately.... "I am sorry I walked in late on that." he smiled sheepishly. And there went the one he wanted to leave with, oh well. He would talk with Namari first.
