Phillis stood in front of the public school. It was the first place he had visited in Avaleur, and surprisingly enough, brought back quite a few memories. It was where he'd first met Dante as well. At the time, he thought it'd been a crappy day, but now that he looked back, it was fate. And it was perfect in every way.
He'd been going out for a few days now, not a single person recognized him. It's amazing what a haircut and a bit of stubble can do for a guy. He almost looked like a whole new person. Not to mention his new wardrobe, consisting only of the disgusting commoner clothes he'd made fun of often times before. Now he was a whole new person.
Xeon walked sullen through town, it had been days since the news but it still stung as bad as it had. If only he was faster he could have warned the person he considered basically as his little brother, maybe even son....
He found himself walking to the school house, maybe seeing little kids would cheer him up, as long as they didn't have running noses and dirt covered faces that was.

Well, there's no use dwelling on it. Phillis thought as he set out to leave the school. He had to stop getting used to being in one place for too long. It was too risky at this time. He looked down, avoiding eye contact. He could change everything else about himself, but not his eyes. (Not that he'd want to. They were perfect the way they were. He was more concerned about disguising himself.)
Xeon walked past a disgusting looking commoner. And a place with children?! He looked at the man's face to give a dirty look as he past.
A few moments later he froze, white as a sheet, he then turned around and nearly screamed the name but wisdom of the possible outcome of that kept it inside. He first looked, seeing no one around he said quietly but loud enough to hear, "Phillis?"

Phillis froze the instance he heard his name. He stood still a moment and then ran, as fast as he could. He didn't even stop to see who had called his name, he just had to get out of there.
Xeon resisted the urge to sprint after him. It would get him too sweaty, that wasn't the reason though, he knew it would bring on much too much attention. No instead he would follow him slowly, he was good at that anyways. Using a small implosion he placed it on Phillis' pants to slow him down, now all he would have to do is not let it explode and kill the boy.

Eventually, after what seemed like forever, Phillis' running became slower and slower. He didn't know it was a forced reaction, and assumed he had done it from his own free will. His legs felt a bit weaker than usual, but he didn't pay it any attention. He had probably lost whoever that was anyways.
Xeon watched as Phillis turned a corner, he quickly walked around the other way to meet him.
As he turned the corner and saw him again he removed the magic from him and couldn't help but smile. However, now there was more people around. So he passed the boy and then turned around to follow him from behind until they were somewhere with much less people.

Phillis kept walking, and walking. It didn't seem like he would ever stop. Until he did. He stopped to catch his breath for a moment. He shouldn't have run like that while he was still recovering. Well, he panicked. He couldn't help it. He was glad the person was gone though, well, he thought they were.
There were hardly any people around, so that's why he choose this area to catch his breath in. It was secluded.
He would scare him yes, but this way he wouldn't run again. Xeon placed a firm hand on Phillis' shoulder and again said his name, "Phillis, please don't be afraid," a bit awkward of a statement yes, a mean if this happened a few months ago he should have been very afraid, he would have ended up killing him probably.
Xeon's hand was smacked away, the boy had gotten much stronger since he last saw him. That was good though, "Yes, I had to see if it was you Phillis, please, calm down. Do you not recognize me?"

Phillis didn't want to look into his eyes. No, he couldn't. The second he saw someone he knew, he'd be tempted to resume his normal life. He couldn't do that. Just hearing Xeon's voice alone was painful to him. It reminded him about how much greater life had been before. No, he couldn't give in.
Xeon smiled, "Phillis, I have known you your whole life, some times it feels like a even raised you. I didn't of course but sometimes it feels that way."

Phillis tried his best to not smile, but his lip curled in the slightest way. "You're an idiot.." he didn't mean this, of course, it was sort of his way of showing affection.
"Then you are a moron then hmmm?" he smiled back at the boy. He hated to be all business right now but that was sort of how Xeon was, "So what all do you know about what 'happened' to you?"
It was good if that was all he knew about it, "So that is all you know about it then... Interesting how word doesn't spread like it use to... Not a bad thing though I suppose."
