She winced at his loud voice, but she wouldn't. She couldn't leave. Her hand practically dug into the counter. "I don't see why I should go with you Devan. I may be naive, but I'm not that naive," Dani gritted her teeth.
"Naive? I am not trying to trick you, I am not trying to trick anyone. You know what my plan is, and I know you, inside your mind you know you would make a lovely canvas." he had a crazy look in his eye and his voice was equally has crazy and erie.
Devan didn't not enjoy being hissed at, or refused, he sat silent for a moment. As if giving up. Then as if instinct, he sprang his arm up to try and grab her by the throat. Because he wasn't looking it was very possible his aim was off.
((i hope you don't mind if i barge in on this though it may turn violent on my part also i may be thinking of the wrong person ))
Sanaki was way to tired to be drinking, but why the hell not? his black trench coat trailing behind him, as he entered the pub the first thing to catch his eye was the person rushing towards him causing him to back up in response and examine the situation that could cause someone to flee. his eyes widened at the sight of Devan, blood-soaked, giant, memories of his encounters with him flooded his mind as he reached for his rapier almost growling "Not you again..".
Devan got up and turned throwing a bottle at the running girl. It smashed against the wall as he missed and the next thing he saw was Sanaki. All he could do was smile, "It is nice to see you too." he laughed hysterically, "Time has been better to you I guess!"
He stood and began to walk toward him, "Now run along, have your drink, chase your tail... And leave me to my business." he growled back, "Before you become part of it."
"Almost wish i could say the same..." Sanaki said in a fairly bored tone. With Devan's next comment Sanaki was almost tempted to look behind him to see if he somehow got a tail without his know how but decided against it "Nah, too tired to drink really, also another fight with you while messing with any of your 'business'? why on earth would i pass that up!?" now it was Sanaki's turn to laugh as his rapier was fully drawn.
Devan huffed, "You will always be an insolent pest then hmm?" he raised his hand while reaching the other behind his back. "It is amazing isn't it? How magic can do all this," he referred to the holes in his body from having his flesh decayed, "But still be able to function."
Sanaki kept his guard up despite the man simply talking, he knew well enough that if he let up it would be costly "Of course! why wouldn't i be a pest? if not me who will?" he chuckled "and yes magic is certainly a precious thing...that's why i teach it" Sanaki lit a fireball in his left hand to emphasize his point and he was planning to attack with it, "so mind telling me why your attacking an innocent person?" he asked while watching his movements.

Dani skidded to a halt at the doors, twisting around to look at Devan and Sanaki. Her eyebrows were creased, and she was nervous, but she was more interested in watching what Devan and the other man were doing than her safety. Not the brightest plan, but the most interesting.
God, the classic Sanaki fireball! He almost moaned. Although he was never able to kill the man his comments always made him legitimenily laugh. "Well I guess you are right there, and if not the innocent then who? What better canvas' to use than those," he smirked.
Devan could punch the ceiling, so that is what he did. He punched up to hopefully cause the man to look at the gapping hole he was making since it would be a potential threat. He then lifted his leg and sent a powerful kick at the man to knock him out of the pub, no use hurting innocents. He silently laughed at that thought, he wouldn't kill them, who else to spread the word.
Sanaki didn't wait for a second as the man punched the ceiling and already sent two fireballs on a course for him, though despite his efforts to concentrate he looked up wondering if the ceiling would collapse, he already had a good taste of his rival's power and worried for the other people.
Realizing his mistake a second too late the kick knocked Sanaki well back and if for not sticking his rapier in the ground he surely would have landed him on his back, while reeling back he clumsily managed to snap his finger with a wicked grin spreading across his face multiplying his fireballs "people aren't painting tools!" he shouted back as he finally managed to get settled on his feet "if you want to be an artist this is not the way to do it" he added finally pulling his rapier from the ground.
The fireballs burned the area of his cheat that they hit. Devan just smirked and laughed. He was done segueing with this man, enough talk. Devan tipped a chunk of the ceiling out as he drew one of his blades from behind his back.
"I really should have expected that by now..." Sanaki muttered to himself watching the fire simply hit the man without much effect, his mouth formed a crooked frown as thoughts of what else he could do to keep the man at bay rushed through his head as Devan grew closer, growing tired of such things he decided against his best interest and charged back leaping into the air and slashing downwards.
Devan frowned, why bring the chunk of ceiling if he wasn't even going to use the fire? Oh well, he thrusted upwards with the chunk will Sanaki jumped, trying to pin the man between the curling and himself. The sword sliced a pick of his arm which began to bleed again. He winced with a smile welcoming the pain.
The chunk of rubble hit Sanaki square in the stomach knocking the wind out of him making him gasp for and focusing on breaking free knowing that the ceiling would not make friends with his back all too well, pushing off the chunk that seemed so desperate to reconnect with its former self he fell off and landed on his back as it smashed into the roof; from that point he launched a spiral of flames up at the giant.
Devan let go of the chunk of ceiling as it would hold for at least a while being smashed back into it's place. He used his forearms to try and block the blunt of the spiral of fire. He could hardly see the man throw the flames as they burned his flesh. Much longer and he would never be able to use them, that just wouldn't work for Devan. He jumped back, burning his body on the back end of the spiral to get out. He threw his sword at Sanaki and drew his other as he was in the air.
"As much pain as you give me I should thank you." he smirked waiting for the smoke to clear so he could see I his sword had landed. "I enjoy it throughly, it is one of the two great feelings. And I have learned to master its abilities."
Sanaki shut his eyes tight to prevent bits of ceiling from getting into them and reopened them in time to see a sword flying towards him it gleamed as it broke through the flames, hastily he pulled his arms in front of him and grimaced at the sickening sound of it breaking through his skin and nearly breaking his bone, biting his lip to prevent letting his whereabouts be known to early by a sound of pain he slowly managed to stand up.
Igniting his rapier in flames he slashed at the air sending waves of flame barreling through the smoke while focusing his left hand to indirectly heal his arm though it already felt like lead as blood poured down the sword still stuck in arm, "You find pain enjoyable?" he asked sending waves of fire through the smoke at the voice "well, once I'm done with you, you'll just DIE from enjoyment" he slowed his slashes trying to focus on repairing his wound.
"Die from enjoyment? That's a new one. Call me when someone dies from having too much free time or leisure, now that's my kind of death." Dax sarcastically says sitting at one of the tables with his feet paws propped up.
"Um waiter can i get a glass of water?" He says to Dani. He looks at Devan and Sanaki...He points a clawed finger at Sanaki, "...you know for a smart guy you sure are stupid...you're not going to beat him." He says gesturing to Devan.
"And you.." He points at Devan. "True art isn't blood splattered on a wall or all over yourself. True art is life, it is green, it gets you things. True art is money, and I'm afraid if you kill my waiter here." He points to Dani. "Well that's just not good for my artwork now is it?" He makes a fist as a shadow begins to grow on the floor. He raises it as a Shadow Clone come right out from the floor. The clone was a pitch black version of Dax.
"Hey, good looking." He says to his clone with his feet still propped up on the table. "Make it quick, we got jobs to do." The clone begins aggressively walking towards Devan and pulls out a sword.
