Slowly, Welkin walks across the plaza, hands in pockets. "Hm. This plaza is about as empty as my poetic inspiration right now..." Everything is silent except the sound of the fountain and his own footsteps. The clouds are dark and devoid of life. Something catches his attention. It is his magnificent blue eyes in the reflection of the fountain. "They're like two shards of a sky long forgotten..." Welkin sits at the edge of the fountain and lets out a sigh.

Dani shoved her hands in her pocket. Her lips were pursed, her shoulders were hunched, and the cat ears on her head were perked up. The girl was trying to look for someone to pickpocket. Business at the pub were slow, so she wasn't getting that much money. Of course, one of the Shadow Guild's rules were that you couldn't steal without purpose. But they hadn't given her any jobs yet.
A few minutes later she had given up. Now she was just spooked at the emptiness of town. All she wanted to see now was someone. To Dani's luck, once she reached town square, she spotted a man sitting at the fountain.
"Pretty lonely out here huh?" she smiled, waving her hand at him as she began to walk over. At the sight of his somewhat unimpressed face she asked, "Everything alright stranger?"
"...." Welkin ignored her words. His aqua gaze looked right passed her. He reached into his coat and pulled out an old looking notebook that he scribbled in briefly and put away.
Welkin let out a sigh and his eyes met the stranger's. Suddenly emotion streaks across his face as his eyes widen. He quickly looks away, snatching out his notebook and burying his attention in the pages.
