BASICS
Welcome to Avaleur! A city filled with many different races, and different kinds of people! This city used to be much larger, the forest not in existence. The ruins was a large castle, surrounded by the city. But they were attacked, and destroyed by Paineston, a neighboring kingdom. The castle went down in flames, and over half the city was destroyed. the rest of the people continued living, as a forest grew on top the rubble. Avaleur was attacked by Paineston two times: The first was just over 50 years ago, the second was only 17 years ago.
When it happened 50 years ago, the kingdom was already in a nutshell. There was a murder attempt on the king, supposedly by a small group of people aiming to take over the kingdom. There was a killer going around, killing citizens in the dead of night. And finally, the criminals of the town and the knights were practically at a war. Paineston managed to destroy the castle and half of the city before being both held off by the people, and just giving up in general.
17 years ago, Avaleur and Paineston were partially at peace. They traded goods with each other, and Paineston seemed to be trying to help the poor town. But then, they sent people to attack. The people of Avaleur were surprised, but were also prepared to fight them. They did not send as many people that time, but they still outnumbered Avaleur's people. Everyone fought, until Avaleur surprisingly succeeded in winning due to more strength, multiple strangers joining in the fight, and the fact that Paineston's betrayal enraged the town.
The city has a castle, and a queen, and they are making Avaleur a kingdom once more. The education is free at the public school, whereas students at the university must pay for it.
The wilderness is home to many creatures (all non-player) If you wish, you can run into one while exploring and such. Some people prefer to live in the wild, but normally they become more beastly doing so. After Avaleur castle crumbled, more creatures gathered into the wilderness around the destroyed city. The surviving residents had a very hard time coping with all of the changes.
TIME
The time period of Avaleur is the medieval ages, or the middle ages. Two weeks in real life is equal to one month in Avaleur, please keep this in mind. So a month in real time is two in Avaleur.
CURRENCY
The thing that makes the world go round. You gain coins every post you make. Coins can be used to buy many things. It all depends what shops are open in the plaza. You can buy weapons, and spells. You can buy a ticket to compete in a tournament. You can also purchase stat points. If you have five coins, you can add 5 to a stat.
Coins can only be added/taken away by people who have access to editing your profile. Currently, only I have the power to do this.

PLOTS
Of course, everyone can have their own mini plot. But you can also participate in plots created by me! To read the current plot, look at the news feed. If there is a plot going on, you will see it there!
Plots will generally need multiple people to join to make it active. There are small plots, that do not need as many people. Medium plots, that need quite a few, and main plots that practically use every character on the site.
Please inform me before you create a large plot. I will probably say yes to the idea.
If you have any idea's for a plot or two, feel free to PM to me. I enjoy putting in ideas others have made for this site. It makes the site more special for everyone. So please feel free to help out
Also, you can't do damage to buildings (such as burning down the pub) without permission. Sure, unnamed buildings are fine, but it screws up others RP if you burn down a building. Or destroy a building. So ask, so I can note that in the news section of the site!
AVALEUR TIMELINE
There are important events that have happened during the time this site had been open. It will continue to be updated as the story goes on.
Year 1000, month 2 - The Denzel Massacre occurs
Year 1000, month 3 - The Knights are formed
Year 1000, month 4 - Enoch Riot takes place, knights win
Year 1000, month 4 - Tournament Begins
Year 1000, month 4 - Phillis is declared king
Year 1000, month 10 - Rain Festival Killings occur, many kids are turned into werewolves
Year 1000, month 11 - The first attack of an evil god named Goria
Year 1000, month 12 - The final battle with Goria, whom dies
Year 1001, month 5 - The werewolves and people of Avaleur fight, werewolves are sent to jail
Year 1001, month 7 - King Phillis is assassinated, hand of the King Namari becomes Queen
Year 1001, month 8 - The Dark Ones try and take over Avaleur
Year 1002, month 12 - A group of people are sent to the future
