Welcome to Avaleur, a medieval fantasy roleplay site where anything is a possibility. Face bandits, or knights. Work your way up to become part of Avaleur's castle, or try your luck at being a thief. Own a shop, be a guild master, start a family. The possibilities are endless.
Xavier was finally able to be seen. Only a bit transparent. He was able to leave the guild and come home. He still wasn't able to tough things. He slept of the ground and the only thing he could move was the clothes he was wearing when it happened.
It had been weeks of being practically non-existent. He had strained himself so much with his illusions he had practically lost his own soul. Almost becoming nothing, vanishing from reality altogether. It felt good to be home though, and although he wasn't fully healed, he was on the process of becoming real again. He desperately wanted to she Dani... But it would also hurt, not being able to touch or feel her.

She was so unbelievably worried. A few weeks since the shit storm came up, and Dani hadn't seen Dosise. He could have died so many ways. The sandstorm, the werewolf, in the arena, in that crux village. So many ways! And at this point she was starting to think it was true. Still, the girl went to his house every day. Every day. Dani just wanted to know if he was okay. She refused to go to the guild til then. Besides, criminal activity was not a good idea during this time. Guards were everywhere.
She quietly walked up to the steps once more, and knocked at the door of Dosise's house. Praying that today he would be there. After all, they had shared such a moment together. She trusted him. And she knew that he wouldn't just get up and leave. He was either here or dead, and she hoped so dearly he was here. If not at home, somewhere in Avaleur.
Xavier snapped his head up and over to the door. He of course could not answer it, and he of course could nt call them in. The door was locked. Xavier walked over and through the side wall of his home. He walked around and approached the person from behind. He got butterflies as soon as he saw Dani. "Pick the lock." he smiled looking at her from behind.

She nearly jumped out of her skin, but recognized the voice. A big grin appeared on her face as she spun around, then she had a scowl. "Xavier Dosise where the hell were you?! I was scared half to death!" she flailed her arms in the air. "I'm glad you're safe, but...I thought you were dead!" Dani lowered her arms slowly, placing one hand on each of her hips, a pained look on her face. "Where were you?" she asked.
Xavier held a sad expression upon his face, "I am sorry... I nearly did die. I was at the guild trying to heal." He walked closer and awaited for the painful realization that she would eventually have. That he was practically a ghost at this time. "I'm not dead though, I will get better." he tries to reassure.

She relaxed a bit, before tensing up once more. "What do you mean get better? You seem fine," she mumbled, looking him up and down, a confused expression on her face.
Xavier sighed trying to figure out how to say this softly. He didn't have to though as a leaf fluttered down, and went right through his half real half illusioned body. He cringed waiting for her response.

Dani's eyes went wide. She opened her mouth to speak, then shut it. Open it once more, shut it again. She didn't know what to say. She wanted to reach out and hug him. Kiss him. And yet she knew there would be no contact. "When...when will you get better?" she mumbled, her face sadder than before as she slumped down, a hand to her mouth.

Dani's ears perked up, before she shook her head, laughing as much as a sad person could. "Yeah, sure, just give me a minute," she nodded. Pulling out two tiny needles from her boot, she began going through the lock. It wasn't long before they could hear a click. She removed the needles and opened the door, walking in before turning to wait for Dosise to come in. He might be able to walk through it, but Dani hardly wanted to close the door on him. It seemed rude.
Xavier smiled as he walked through the door and stood beside Dani, although a horrible thing it was also a bit funny. "So has anything interesting happened while I have been gone?" he asked. "You didn't leave me for Jerad did you?" he joked going to nudge he teasingly but it phased through her. Oh, that was right.

She winced, wanting to touch him once more. Alas she couldn't. Still, she chuckled, closing the door. "Yes actually I have!" she said, before winking at him, "Kidding. Haven't seen him since I first met him, not planning on it." She really wasn't. She knew the man had power, and she didn't want him to get in the way of Dani and Xavier's relationship. "And I haven't really done anything. I visited here every day, looked for you. Kept working at the pub, it got a lot of business. Everyone wants to drink their troubles away."
"And you? What have you done with your time at the guild?"
It pained him to know she came every day and he was not there. "I hid in my quarters. Waiting in the darkness trying to become real again..." he sighed, "I guess the old warnings were true, if you are an illusion for to long you will become one."
He saw the longing in her eyes and she could probably see it in his, he wanted to kiss her. Even to hug her or hold her hand. Just to feel her against him, it was what he wanted so badly.

"I think I'm falling in love with you, maybe even in love with you," she stated simply, twiddling her thumbs. "I know that love is a strong word, but I really think I do. I've never felt this way before, hell I've never been with anyone else before. You have always been nice to me, and I care about you. A lot."
Soon Danielle's face was beat red, and she turned her eyes slightly to the ground, rubbing the back of her head. Embarrassed. "That's all I really wanted to say. I just...I know now's not the best time, we can't even touch each other, but...if you go disappearing again at least I know you know, right? I don't want to feel the regret of not telling you that night, and then having you gone."

Xavier was in shock as his face went flush and then went red very quickly. He hadn't expected that at all! He tried to think of something to say, he knew he had to say something! He would just tell her what he thought, no what he felt. "I-I think I am falling in love with you too." he chuckled, "And let us just hope I'm not like this forever, that way our relationship can become much more enjoyable."
He was a bit relieved actually, for a split second he had thought maybe she was pregnant, and although it wouldn't be horrible.... Just much more of a shock.

Dani grinned widely. "You better not stay like this forever...if you want I can go to the castle libraries at some point and try to see any way to fix it." Something hit the back of Dani's head. Metaphorically, of course. Her eyes slightly widened, but they soon went back to normal. Dani to put it simply felt like she had betrayed her childhood best friend. Stacy must have loved Xavier a lot. And wherever she was, she must be watching over them. Knowing. The thought itself made Dani uneasy. She knew Stacy was probably rooting for them, the crazy girl, but all the same Dani still felt bad. He was Stacy's first.
Xavier chuckled, "No it is fine, I can go just as easily as you can. Being a knight and all..." he then remembered the whole opening door and opening books part, "Hmm on second thought I don't think I can." To say Xavier hadn't been thinking of Stacy from time to time would a huge lie. But he had come to realize that she would want him to be happy. Though he would never forget, and in truth she would always be his first love, an he would never take off the ring, he knew that she would want him to move on. To stop fighting it.

"Yeah, someone might accidentally fall through you or something," she teased lightly, sitting down on the couch looking him over. "It's really teasing not being able to touch you, you know. Holding hands would be awesome compared to this," she gave off a longing smile.
