*A private RP between Phillis and Namari*
Phillis stood with his hands in his pockets. He glanced around the currently empty throne room with dead, apathetic eyes. He had experienced a lot in this room. There had been his reunion with Dante, many fights, meeting Alice, and of course, most recently, nearly being assassinated.
Phillis scoffed. He had to keep in mind that he was no longer king, and proudly so, as the title had only brought him misfortune. Contrary to popular belief, he had felt as if he had been a caged bird during those times. Now that the chain had been cut, he was free; Free to fly, free to live life how he wished. He was never happier.
During his time away with his new group, the Verganza, he had finally managed to pick up his life again. He was clean-shaven again, and in his usual neat-and-tidy attire. However, he was more fond of darker colours now, as opposed to his usual white articles of clothing.
Time went by as Phillis waited patiently for the queen to arrive.

Finally. Finally out of that damn infirmary room. After getting back from the future, she had needed to stay another week in the infirmary, much to her dismay. Luckily the week flew by, and after being escorted back to the castle she was free to roam. Everyone told her to rest for a day, and get to work tomorrow. But Namari was much too worried as to what Lianne had done in her place as queen for the week and a half she was off of the throne.
With a yawn, she gave a smile. This place still gave her comfort, it was her home. And she was happy to be back. Namari wore a knee-high, light blue dress that flowed around her. It was tight at the waist with long golden fabric, and decorated with a flower breech and beads. Her hair was growing longer, down to half her back at this point, and it was let down for the day. She was still bandaged up slightly, but nothing too noticeable. And to her delight- her blood-red sword sat once again at her hip.
She reached her throne room, and with a sigh of relief walked in, ready to get to work. She didn't notice anyone inside at that moment, as she closed the doors behind her. Finally as she was halfway through the room she looked up, and caught his face. She stopped.
It couldn't be.
But it was.
Her jaw dropped, hanging. Eyes wide, hand shaking. A ghost? He looked too real. But he looked different as well. But how...how could a dead king be brought back to life? Namari had seen the body herself! If not just for a split second- but that was enough to see through blurry eyes, a man with his throat slit open. That man had to be her friend. So why did he stand before her now?
"...it can't be you..." she whispered softly, baffled. She nearly fell over, stumbling and catching the end of one of the tables for balance. "It...It can't be you," she spoke louder, looking Phillis up and down.

Phillis brought his hand up in a stiff wave. "Good evening, your majesty."
He stood straight up, no longer leaning against the wall. "You've been doing well, I assume? Well, you're not dead, so I suppose it can't be all bad, hmm? As you can see, I am also very much alive." he couldn't help but laugh a bit.

Her mouth still rested on the floor as she stared at him.
"...no. No you're dead. You can't be standing here....I need to go back to the infirmary, I must have hit my head..." she mumbled the last bit, rubbing at her temple while leaning against a pillar. Her jaw shot back up to her head and she sighed, grumbling.

Phillis raised an eyebrow, and before speaking, gave out a large laugh. "I'm quite alive, however. The assassination was a failure. He opened up his shirt, showing Namari the scars on his chest. There were many small cuts, but the most noticeable was a large gash running from his shoulder to his waist.
"There was an attempt, yes. But quite a failure." He explained, as he buttoned his shirt again. "The dead man you saw was an impersonator of myself."

Namari scowled. "So the assassin just managed to get your impersonator, and not you? How do I know you're not just an impersonator, huh? Those cuts could be completely unrelated to the assassination."

"I didn't even tell Dante." Phillis said flatly. " Simply put, I despise Avaleur. I left my duty as king in order to join a new, and very welcoming group. You may be familiar with them. They call themselves the Verganza."

Namari stared at Phillis dumbfounded for a moment, before answering simply.
"Never heard of them," she furrowed her eyebrows, rubbing one of her temples, and standing up straight, "Why do you hate Avaleur though? So many people here care for you."
