Welcome to Avaleur, a medieval fantasy roleplay site where anything is a possibility. Face bandits, or knights. Work your way up to become part of Avaleur's castle, or try your luck at being a thief. Own a shop, be a guild master, start a family. The possibilities are endless.
Delliks, being a well trained mercenary, knew what Namari was trying to do, but unfortunately his hypothesis had proven correct. The Hunter showed off his impressive strength in his back and leg muscles with the very acrobatic assault, one that was done with incredible speed as well.
Sort of lucky for him he hand remembered four of the three hundred and ninety places that his grandmother had taught him of something he had always called voodoo. But unlucky for him, he was not at all good at it and at this speed it would result in horrible failure. Instead he jumped and turned to the side to narrowly escape the foot, he could have stuck his tongue out and licked it. The kick produced a nice breeze in the already cool air that chilled his face and blew his hair.
"One can be slippery and experience Mr. Hunter." he smirked. The Queen seemed to be a much better and faster fighter, he would try and follow her lead.
Roe was impressed with, he escape Delliks did butit had one backfire in it. Dodgig straight back usually left people wide open which Roe planned.to use to his advantage. Immediately when his foot touched the.ground, Roe leaned forwards a bit and.then launched himself at Delliks in a full frontal tackle. Taking the fight to the.ground would help Roe for what he wanted to do later on.
((okay so I hope I didn't mess up and think a American Football tackle rather than a soccer tackle lol here goes))
Delliks muttered a curse to himself and decide to use his head. As Roe came forward he threw his head forward for a hard head-butt. That didn't stop the tackle however and the two were soon on the ground where Delliks tried to hold onto The Hunter and keep him on the top position so Namari could easily hit him.

Namari moved quickly, and once at the two raised her sword to swing it at Roe's side. She knew that swinging down was a horrible idea, with the possibility of Roe moving and her hitting Delliks.
Roe smiled at Delliks remark, figuring the boy out more and more. There was another witty person he knew of that he had met in the future and heard about in the past. "I know who you are." He announced to the boy, before spinning on Namari and round housing the side of the wooden blade maybe a bit too roughly. He turned to the young man, a smile on his face. "But do you?"
Delliks sort of laid on the ground for a moment. "You impose I very interesting thought. Do I know myself? Hmm." Of course he did but to re examine his life, maybe he didn't, maybe this hunter knew something he didn't. After all this was the land of his forefathers.
"You ask something we both know the answer to boy. Stand, let me get a better understanding and see which side you take after." Roe said, holding his arm out to Delliks so that he may stand. "See if you have the brain of an elf, or the brain of an orc." Roe said, knowing what he meant but meaning to leave Delliks in the dark.
Delliks took the hand and used it to help himself up. As he brushed the dirt from his jacket he couldn't help but be slightly annoyed, another person who that he was an elf? Was it because of his pointed ears again? No, no there had to be something else to it, otherwise mentioning the orc would make any sense at all.
"And which side would be better? I would suppose whoever has the most power to say either way eh?" everything to him seemed to him like that, corrupted in the hands of power. History was written by the winners, perspectives decided by those with enough power to make theirs the truth. Who was to say an orc's mind was lesser than an elf's? Didn't seem right to him, but he supposed orcs were often more like rocks.

The wooden blade had bounced off of Roe's foot, and she stepped back as she listened to the two speak.
She also was curious as to what Roe had meant by that. Her father had said it a time or two when she was still living with him- but Roe might have meant it in a different context.
She placed her hand at her hip, pointing the sword behind her. Ready for any sneaky attack of Roe, but also relaxed a bit more. She decided to keep her mouth shut until Roe would say anything else.
((sorry for the long absence, computer decided to say screw you lol))
"Well, it depends on which you want. Elegance, or bloodlust." Roe said. He stepped back to examine Delliks a bit more. He started doing some imagery in his head, aging the boy by many years. Adding a few other details, and imagining many other factors that had to be taken into account. "You... you have an interesting future ahead of you. Do not waste it all in the arena." Roe said. He had many things to think about now, including the future of a few people. Could he protect them as well as his future self had managed? He didn't know, but he wanted to find out. "Namari, sorry for this sudden change of plan, but there are some things that I need to... take care of. I must go." With that, he gave a curt nod to Delliks and a salute to Namari. Then, he ran out of the arena and head towards Isiolde, where his brethren awaited his arrival.
Delliks pondered that. Was it not true? Or was it said by elves, making it rather bias. I assume no elf's mind had bloodlust... He figured the statement, in truth would be more detailed. Would he prefer Elegant Bloodlust, or Open Bloodlust. I mean had everyone not heard of the stories of different elvish tribes slaying each other brutally? Was any mind better than the rest, when examining whole species and races? Perhaps they should inky be judged individually. That was what Delliks did.
He turned to Namari after Roe had left, "Curious friend of yours there M'Lady."

(( I'm sorry LOL I thought I had replied to this already! ))
Namari watched Roe leave with a small smile, placing her hand on her hip. "He is, isn't he?" she chuckled, as she turned to Delliks. "Suppose he always has been. Though, quite the good man to have around, really." Namari considered Roe one of her good friends, of course, after all of the support he had given her. But he always managed to make her wonder- he seemed to always be up to something.
Nothing that would worry her, but she was always a little bit curious.
"So Delliks, if you don't mind me asking, what brings you to the arena? I would suppose for practice, or a bag of gold. Perhaps fame," the woman chuckled. Of course, this being the first time meeting Delliks, she did not know what type of person he was. Knowing the basic reason behind why he was here would give her even a tiny insight as to who he is.
Delliks chuckled, "I man can learn a lot from the arena. It is the poor man's theater. The weak man's path to strength. It represents life for what it truly can and will be. You have compassion and cruelty, fame and glory, victory and defeat. I am here to partake in life, you could say." He laughed a bit, "That and it puts enough coin in my purse to put food on the table." He smirked, Reston his hand onto the hilt of his real sword.

Namari couldn't help but chuckle with the man- that was her main reason to be in the arena when she had first set foot on Avaleur. Perhaps it was just in her nature to fight- or, perhaps more likely, she was bad at doing anything else.
"Well, you seem pretty good. With enough luck you'll gain some recognition- earn more than enough gold to keep you happy," she grinned. In her days, it had taken quite a lot of time to get noticed. After all, there were bigger, better opponents then her when she was starting out.
"So how long have you been living in Avaleur?" she asked, looking the man over once more.
Delliks chuckled, he was only decent, but that is what happened when you grew up as a mercenary and fought day in and day out just to make a living. And when it isn't some high status, noble mercenaries fighting for power. It was a humble life.
"Hopefully the good kind of recognition eh?" he smiled and finally answered her, "Somewhere around a year or so I think now," much of his time he had spent outside of town, boy was it a brutal winter to have done that. "And you much longer I would suppose."

"Oh yes, but probably less than you're thinking," Namari smiled. She hadn't even been born in Avaleur of course. "About six years, maybe? Almost seven I believe." She couldn't even remember how long she had been in power- how long ago she was the hand of the king, or how long ago she began the knights.
The thoughts made her smile- they were relatively happy memories.
"Have you enjoyed your time in Avaleur at all? Asside from the event that took place quite a few months ago," she couldn't help but feel slightly ashamed about it. Once it was over, she was in the infirmary for a long time- unable to help clean up the streets, and such. What a good leader should be out doing.
"I see, seven years..." he could understand that, this place seemed to be a place of foreigners, but you would think that their Royalty would be from here, not bad, but interesting.
"I enjoy the scenery, yes. It has been a nice time I suppose although I must admit I don't know what you mean of what happened months ago, I suppose I don't stay filled in with the events much."

"Ahh. Well, that's a good thing then. The more people weren't involved, the better," Namari sighed a little with a hint of relief. It was nice to hear of someone who did not have a loved one hurt or killed, or them harmed themselves.
"Basically we were attacked. I do not have a clear understanding of why, yet, but there were many deaths, and injuries," it hurt her to know that some of those deaths were on her hands, literally- the three guards? The child? She gulped down the lump in her throat, guilt evident in her eyes. "The people seem to be dealing well, from what I've seen, though I've only gotten out of the infirmary just today, so I don't really know the extent of the aftermath damage."
As he listened he nodded and wondered exactly why she was unloading all of this onto him. It wasn't exactly as if he really cared so much either. I mean he did but... Not as much as one would think he supposed.
"Good to walk around and still find you have a city eh?" He chuckled before sighing. This day had begun to get rather dreary. Why did everyone think he was an elf? Or Unload their life story? It made things somewhat exhausting.
"So where are your body guards then Miss?" He had wondered that... Wasn't she sort of all alone.

"I managed to convince the guards watching me that I would be fine on my own for a bit. I do believe they followed me, though," she chuckled once more. As much as she appreciated the hard work the guard were doing, she didn't enjoy being looked after all the time- sure, she was Queen, that was reasonable in her mind. But she never needed any guards before she became Queen- savor her time in Bataille. Sure, she was nearly killed months ago. She still didn't like it.
"So how did you get so good at fighting?" she asked, resting her hand on her side with a smile. "I hardly doubt many people get good without some severe practice, hmm?"
