Dante looked around the school's garden, right in front of the entrance, sitting on his usual bench. After seeing some familiar faces of teachers walk by, he quickly averted his gaze into his book titles 'Advanced Magical Spells'. To him, the spells were easy and boring. To most his age studying here, they were difficult and exciting to do. That's what Dante got for studying magic for ten years straight.
He shut his book, and yawned, stretching his arms and back. He huffed when he sat straight again, and grabbed his courses sheet. It listed four course that he was taking: Magic, Enchanted Weaponry, Creature Taming, and English. His sister had picked his courses for him. If she hadn't, he wouldn't have picked Enchanted Weaponry. He hated fighting with weapons.
It was still a bit until classes started, given the sun had barely come up, so Dante decided to flip through some of his notes in his other classes. If he could have, he would have only picked to do Magic.

Phillis looked around the area, hesitantly approaching. He gazed at the school, his focus going up and down slowly. He assumed it was a school but he wasn't too sure. He noted the youthful faces, all carrying books and some sort of bag. He decided his assumption must be correct.
He was shocked a place of such low wealth even had a school, but then again most things about Avaleur shocked him. He had only been there a few days and found the place to be much cleaner and friendly than he has estimated it to be.
He sighed as he sat on a nearby bench, crossing one leg over the other and resting his chin in his palm. He thought for a good minute on what to do next. He had never been on his own, he never had to do anything by himself , and he certainly had never been to a real school before.

Dante frowned, putting his notes away. He didn't have the patience to read his notes today. As usual, he would much rather be practicing magic.
In front of him, he heard footsteps. Dante looked up, to see a man walking over to a bench close to his. Dante looked at him questionably; Dante had not seen him around before. The man did not look like the type to be studying at a school. Dante wondered if the man was a new teacher, but quickly discarded the thought when he realized the other teachers would have probably told the students about him.
Dante watched him sit on the bench, seemingly spacing out. Dante debated going over to say hi, but looked down at his feet instead. Should I, or shouldn't I... he thought to himself. Dante snapped his fingers every few seconds, causing a small flame to appear each time, and disappear soon after.

Phillis looked up at the sight of the small flames. He was intrigued, it helped him come back to reality. He looked to see the face behind the flames and noted the boy looking his way. He quickly shook his head. What is up with this place? A magic school? I've never heard of it. He was confused, but definitely interested.

Might as well go and meet him... Dante sighed, running a hand through his hair. He knew every student in the school, and every teacher. Whoever this guy was, was probably one of the two.
Swinging his back over his shoulder, he quickly walked over to the man. "Excuse me..." Dante said, "Are you a student, or new teacher here...?" He blushed at the stupid question, hoping the man did not think too much of it.

"hmm?" Phillis was surprised the boy had the confidence to approach a stranger such as himself. "So this is a school then?" He smirked, more of a statement than a question. "Consider me a visitor then."
He stood up, looking around a bit more, wondering what the place was like on the inside. "And you are?" he asked, his voice hollow and un-interested.

Dante, though realizing that the man could not care less about who he was, replied, "Dante...I'm a student here...whats your name?" Dante wondered why a man like this would even visit a school. They barely ever got visitors.

"Well, I guess its just...a school." Dante shrugged. "It teaches a bunch of different courses, like math, english, fighting, magic...anyone can apply here, as long as they're between the ages of 8 and 20."
Dante thought that Phillip seemed like an interesting person. Not to mention, looking at him he seemed human. There werent that many humans around Avaleur.

"Hm.. what a charming idea." Phillis gave him a small, rather genuine smile. "You have been a good source of information.. erm.. What did you say your name was again?"

Dante grinned. "Dante. If you have any more questions, just ask. I've gone to school here for ten years, not to mention lived in Avaleur all my life." he smiled, holding out his hand to shake with Phillis.

"Ah..yes." Phillis said, hesitant as he shook the boys hand. " So is this a mandatory school or optional? Does it have an inside to it? Do people actually..learn here? " He asked, feeling like a child full of questions.

"Optional." he stated, feeling important. "Yes, there are multiple different classrooms, a library, and a study hall." Dante laughed at the last question. "I suppose. It also depends how long you have been here. The longer the stay, the less you learn each year. I havent been challenged in a magic class in years!"
Dante enjoyed answering his questions. Dante was full of facts, reading so much in his spare time. His knowlege was barely useful, but it was times like these he was glad to have it.

"I thought you'd be younger." Phillis smirked. "I'm 20." He looked up, admiring the top of the building. "Well then, let's check out the inside." He said, as he headed down the path leading to the school doors.

Dante blushed. I dont look THAT young, to I? He thought, as he followed Phillis into the school. The school had two floors, most of the classes on the first floor. The interior looked older, but seemed to age well. Younger children practiced fighting with wooden swords, and threw spells at each other in the front hall.

Phillis looked around. "Woah. So this is what a real school looks like." He noted the kids practicing in the hall and cocked an eyebrow. " They even practice when they're not in class?"

"It's what our school looks like, at least." Dante chuckled. "Yeah...they're not suppost to, they're suppost to do it either in the training room or in the garden, but they do it anyways." he shrugged, looking around. "Is there any specific place you want me to show you?" Dante asked, looking at Phillis.

"Anywhere I guess." Phillis replied. "I don't even know where to begin. I mean, there isn't a whole lot to see in a school like this, but it's certainly different, that's for sure."
