Avaleur's Two Year Anniversary!

That's right everyone, Avaleur has been open for almost two years! The date of the anniversary is August 16th, so exactly a month today. So of course, there are some preparations in order. This year, we want to see what YOU GUYS want us to do! We have a few ideas, some set in stone, but for the most part it is lenient. Below we will list a few ideas, and feel free to add on below! If people seem to like your idea, we will consider it for a definite possibility.

Firstly, a contest with last years categories. Sadly we can not compare to last years categories because for some reason I didn't right them down. But if this is a continuous thing, we can do this for next year! Below are the categories:
-Best Love Story of the Year
-Best Major Plot of the Year
-Best Group Moment of the Year
-Best Character of the Year
-Overall Best Thing This Year

Secondly, another livestream. Last year we did a livestream, where I chatted about the site, answered questions, etc. Feel free to add to this idea, as I['m not giving you much information to go by due to the fact that I'm not sure what I would do for it yet.

Thirdly, and this one I'm not sure we could do but I could try, is playing skyrim/oblivion with everyone. Meaning of this? I have both games- either one is an option. We put it on livestream so everyone can still chat together, and you guys tell me what to do. Be an orc, choose that side, kill that guy, whatever. I think that this one, if we could do it, would be a bundle of laughs.

Fourthly, a really big goofy rp thread with everyone in it. I mean that it would not affect anything IC at all, that thread would stand alone. I kill off my character? Don't worry, it didn't actually happen. Your character can act completely different from how they really are, hell, in this thread everyone could die, Avaleur could be destroyed and the world could explode and it wouldn't matter!

Lastly, new boards opening up that day. Those board would be the kingdom boards- so the villages and towns that are now a part of Avaleur's kingdom. Riverbed, Littlebay, the city of Hollow.


So tell us what you think below, and tell us your suggestions if you have any. This event is for all of us, so lets have a blast when that day comes! Please also, when nearing that date, tell us when you are available/unavailable that day, plus your timezone, so that we can try and get everyone in on the fun. Have a great day guys!

Now let's all PLAN for this everyone *cough* Luke *cough* . That way we don't have people leaving abrubtly like last year *cough* Luke *cough* man is it dusty in here? *cough* Luke you need to plan for this *cough* . And will SOMEONE tell Denzel this year? She was devastated last year when she forgot about the livestream. So much that she almost QUIT the site. And get Phillis on here too, he/she's as much of a member as the rest of us still.

I have something special planned for everyone for that day (INCLUDING a heart felt message) We should SKYPE during the livestream so we can all talk to eachother.

YES! That's what I was also thinking! Everyone skyping together would be awesome! I will message Denzel EVERY DAY a week prior to the event so that she only misses it if she has to And yes, Phillis is a she lol I will make sure she gets her ass on as well.

Just a small update on this- If we do a 'best whatever' contest, I'll have to have your guys answers in about two weeks. Then another vote to decide on any ties and whatnot.

If everyone is comfortable with it, I would love to skype during that day.

An extra note, scrap oblivion, if we would be playing a video game it would have to be skyrim because that's the only game I own on the computer. But we would be buying a new computer for this since this computer can't handle it- which might be happening soon. If we get that new computer? Bang. We can do the skyrim thing- if people want to do that. But with that, I also want to know if everyone wants me to play through the tutorial before-hand so that we're not sitting through the entire thing, or if they would like to see the entire thing lol

ALRIGHT EVERYONE ALRIGHT, I've let it sit idly by for long enough. New and old members alike, come on and join in on the fun. We want to know what YOU, yes, YOU want to do for this celebration. We want it to be enjoyable, fun, and friendly, with as many participants as possible.

Alright everyone! In exactly two weeks from now we will be celebrating Avaleur's 2 year anniversary! Seeing as how we've only got three people involved so far, we would really REALLY appreciate you posting here, or sending staff a PM saying that you will be joining in with us. A few updates:

- No new computer yet- I am looking at other options as to how to play skyrim with you guys. Might borrow a friend's computer- if they let me. So this is definitely a maybe still.
- With what little time we have right now, we can't exactly do the contest. That's okay! We still have more things we can do!
- The new boards will be opening up that day
- We will be doing a skype chat with everyone
- There definitely will be a big awesome goofy thread that everyone and anyone can join. Guests might be able to join the event!

With all of that said, we really need to be setting up. If you feel comfortable, feel free to post up your skype account username so that everyone can add each other and such. If not, PM a staff member your username so that they can add you. Don't have a skype account? No worries, we will still likely be chatting away in the chatbox here.

Aw! I like the ideas tossed out here! Especially that free for all board! I wish I had internet and didn't occasionally bum it from a friend so I could join in on this celebration full on. My lack of internet is what kept me from the creature hunt. -.-

I like the ideas!! I'd join the Skype too if I remembered my info. If I happen to be online for the chat I'll totally be sure to join! Also the Skyrim idea sounds fun. Love that game.
