Kavanah landed just a bit higher than the foot of the mountain. His wings were tired, and if he wanted to reach his tribe, would need to rest them. He started up the mountain on foot. It was dark but that didn't bother him, in fact he kind of preferred it.
About a nights journey and I may be curse free. he smiled at the thought. Namari had givin him new hope, and it was what drove him up the mountain alone and tired.
Arkelse was flying over the mountains and spotted Kavanah, remembering that he wanted to talk to him he descended. "Hello there, Kavanah. You look exhausted, where you headed?"
He was a little startled, someone else traveling in the mountains at night? It didn't seem normal. He looked and once he saw it was just Arkelse, he relaxed. It was a cold, dark night and you could easily see your breath.
"Oh! Arkelse, you startled me," he began, "I am on my way home. I think that if I can prove I have been good and offer the cursed dagger than maybe they will cure me."
"That's wonderful, I hope everything works out for you!" Arkelse said with smile. He have a little shiver and then asked, "Back when we were helping Steele, you left and said ou needed to talk to me later, what about?"
He sighed. He wasn't sure if he really had time, but how could he prove that he was truly good if he wouldn't help Arkelse. "I wanted to talk about finding your sister." he told Arkelse.
"Not quite, but I do have a theory and and would like to help find her." he says. It saddens him that he didn't have actual news, but he felt like his theory was right.
"Well, if she was an angel she would prefer high places. Such as a mountain. And during the night, and especially the cold she would probably look for shelter. So I think our best bet is in the mountain caves. The problem is they are quite vast."
Kavanah chuckles, "There is a floating one, however that is where my tribe makes it's home. She would not have made it there." he thought for a moment."I don't know these mountains well."
Steele (werewolf form) stood atop of a rock. The wind was fierce towards the top of the mountain and his fur blew in one direction. A mix of cold air, snow, and wind were all atop the mountain. Steele's eyes were closed as he was training his sense of smell. That was when he saw two angels fly down onto the mountain. Dropping down on all fours he sits and listens to what they're talking about.
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."
"True, and the condition she is probably in due to prolonged exposure of the curse she would avoid civilization. You said take shelter, such as a cave?" Arkelse wondered.
"That was my thought," he felt like he was being watched, but it bothered him little. He was most powerful at night. "I just hope that the caves wouldn't be a total maze to try and hunt through."
"We need a tracker, someone who could tell whether a cave would be useless and just get us lost." Arkelse pondered about who might be able to do this. "There's a hunter in town, I believe his name is Roland, he's one of the knights. Perhaps he could assist us, but we would need to return to town and know he wouldn't want to come all the way out here and I know you would probably really like to continue your journey."
"Thin' look nay' further than thee canniest Wolf on moss' an' moor'." Steele says jumping on all fours down to the path Kavanah and Arklese are on. "Tis' thee least I could do after ye lads saved my life."
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."
"Steele! You could not have made an appearance at a better time." Arkelse says letting out a sigh of relief. "If I were able to give you something of my sister's collections from when we were young, you could possibly find the scent? It's been about 20 years though so I'm not sure how much there is to smell." Arkelse says as he pulls a small pocket bible from his pocket. He holds it close to his chest then offers it to Steele.
"Din't tell me ye read tis' non sense." Steele says taking the bible. (I really don't think that I'm just in character lol) "Twenty year, twenty minute, tis' all thee same." He says taking a scent of it. "Hmmm, smells like an angel girl, er woman,...in her thirties...looks jus' like you." He takes another scent. "Carryin' some sharp object nd' armor." He looks at the bewildered faces of Kavanah and Arklese. "I din't get that from thee scent, I saw her fly by earlier. Didn't know who tat' twas', didn't care." He shrugs. "Bah, what can ye'do, am I rite?" He takes one last scent. "Okay, Ifin we hurry we can get ti' her before her scent wears off completely in tis' cold."
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."
