"yeah i guess" he chuckled "it was alot of trial and error learning to handle the rapier, but it goes double when i was trying to learn magic; i had so many burns" he added shaking his head in memory on how he nearly engulfed himself in flames at one point.

Alex giggled. "Sorry, I don't mean to laugh at your pain, but just imagining you making the same mistakes I have today is kind of funny," he said, laughing more.
"Well it is funny when i look back on it" he said chuckling himself "i almost set a forest on fire at one point" recalling as he looked up as if his memorys were in the clouds, " the upside was though that i used managed to use water magic without getting myself, and 50 ft of area soaked" he looked back down laughing.
"Well....i was playing around with fire then i i began to think 'i should practice with my wind' which turned into 'Theres an idea!' and well......fire+wind+tree= half the forest on fire" he told the kid while spinning his rapier in his hand.
Sanaki laughed as well, "No you woulden't you might've gotten caught up in the blaze!" he managed to say still trying to calm down from his own laughter.
"Yeah, yeah same to you kiddo" he replied waving it off "either way times were tougher back then so you were lucky not to be where i was at the time," he added grinning.
Well i was there before i started keeping track of where i was during my wandering days, but i can safely say that people didn't shy from trying to kill a kid for money; the principle was people helped you or got in your way" Sanaki grimiced in anger and regert over the people he killed and the people who tried to kill him.
"But its our expriences that make us who we are, so despite my actions in the past i don't regret a thing, and nethier should you, for example that question you just asked" he could see the guilt in the kid's eyes.

Alex nodded slowly, considering Sanaki's words. "Hm, that's quite true," he said, thinking of his years spent wandering, and all the things he's done. He realized then that he didn't regret them, and he wouldn't be here today if he hadn't done what he had.
"Yes perhaps so" Sanaki thought over it a bit he could see the boy was remebering his own memories, he looked away for a moment and his memories flooded back to him: the nice couple who had helped him, the next day they were murdered for money which filled him with rage; he had tracked down the person and killed him in public gaining the hate of the town but the pleasure of revenge.

Alex looked at Sanaki quizzically, wondering what he was thinking. But he didn't say anything. Instead, he looked around and said with some surprise, "Hey, it's already getting dark." He hadn't even noticed the hours passing; their first training session had gone by faster than he thought.
