The town had gone into quite a slump since the war debacle. Scooter was very sad to see it in such a state, so he came up with an idea.
He stood in the middle of town, ringing a bell in his hand to draw attention to himself. He was collecting donations to help raise money to help out Avaleur. He knew it wouldn't fix everything, but they could use a bit of money, especially in the tough times.
"Hello, Avaleur~! I am collecting money to help the less fortunate! They really need it, so if you could donate to me, that would be wonderful! It's okay if you don't! I don't mind, but they really need the money, so please consider it! We are all in tough times and should help out one another! Have a good day, everyone!" He yelled. It was a good day, many people had gone out which had been quite rare after the war.
Roland had been Patroling the town for various reasons. One reason was to make sure everyone was doing well and no trouble was popping up. The other was to boost moral, give the people a sense of hope and something to believe in. Roland soon found himself in the center of the town where a ringing bell caught his attention.
He followed the noise as it led him to Scooter. He hadn't heard what exactly the man was doing. He heard a little but the ringing was far louder that his talking. "May want to take it easy on the bell if you want people to understand you." Roland smiled as he walked up to Scooter.
"Hm?" Roland had caught Scooter by surprise. "Hello, friend! Thank you for the advice! I thought the bell might get peoples attention but I guess that would be useless if they couldn't even hear what I'm saying. Did you hear any thing I said? Oh, well I guess not if you warned me about the bell. I'm sorry, I'll only ring it before and after I speak so that more people can understand me! Thank you!" The boy spoke quickly, and didn't seem to run out of breath.
"Oh, I said 'Hello, Avaleur~! I am collecting money to help the less fortunate! They really need it, so if you could donate to me, that would be wonderful! It's okay if you don't! I don't mind, but they really need the money, so please consider it! We are all in tough times and should help out one another! Have a good day, everyone!'" He quoted himself. "That's exactly what I said!" he smiled, proud of himself for remembering.

Roland quickly took out some coin and gave it to Scooter. "Here is 200. The names Roland by the way. And you." he smiled happy to see someone else was helping the town.
Scooter grinned widely. "Are you really sure about this, Roland? That is a lot of coins! You're quite generous. Oh, thank you so very, very much! I appreciate to see such generosity! Honestly, thank you! So many people will benefit from this, how wonderful!" He exclaimed as he hugged the man tightly. "My name is Scooter, by the way!"
Scooter smiled as he let go of the man. "Well, so far I've collected 200 coins for the donation drive! I've already donated all my money previously so I sadly can't give anymore. I am very glad you donated though! I'm sure more people will give some, though I didn't realize they couldn't hear me. Now they will be able to! I've been out here for four hours actually, so I'm very grateful that you've made such a large donation."
"Yep!" Scooter exclaimed. " I was too excited to stay home! I got the idea when I went to bed and I couldn't sleep at all because I was so excited! I jumped out of bed and started looking for a bell, but everywhere was closed! So I waited outside the shops until three in the morning when some nice man let me in! He sold me the bell and then I went back home to make this box for the money." He help up the box to show Roland. "It's not very big, but neither are coins! I could fit a lot in here, actually! I don't remember when I got here, but the sun wasn't quite up yet. It was very beautiful to see the sun rise like that! I just love the morning!"
Roland could not help but smile when he was with Scooter. His energy just made it impossible, and here he thought he needed to boost moral, seems it was already taken care of. "Well I commend you on your excellent idea. Your dedication is something we all need in these hard times."
Scooter smiled. "Ah, gee, thanks! You're so nice, you'll make me blush if you say things like that! I really appreciate you saying that! So, what're you doing around here anyways? Just going for a walk?"

"Oh I'm just going around making sure the knights and I didn't miss anyone, or if anyone needs some extra help. I'm just kind of Patroling really." he chuckled, "So yes basically a walk, but its a bit more than that."
"No way, that's super cool! You know, I haven't met many knights before but you all look like super strong people! It sure is swell that you all put so much effort into your jobs and do so much just to help others! I really admire you people, you're such a dedicated bunch!" Scooter exclaimed.
This was the encouragement Roland needed, who knew he would be getting the moral boost when he was looking to give it. "I appreciate that Scooter. I really do."
Roland at first was a little wierded out, but that feeling past soon after he realized what was going on. "Avaleur is happy to have you.... Wait, are you the one I heard that brought the rains?!" Roland had only heard of Scooter from some street corners.
