"It's alright! Nah, I didn't make them. The blades and my dagger are made from some sort of special metal that the ice elementals created a long time ago. So, it's not pure ice, so I can't make them. But I can control them, like, levitate them," Jordan smiled.

Jordan stopped just outside the entrance, running his hands through his hair to shake out the snowflakes. He turned to Kavanah, and grinned, continuing to walk with the man. "This is as close to home sinse I left Hielo!"
Kavanah's body had now become accustomed to the weather and he collapsed his wings into his back and walked into town. "Me too," he chuckled, "My home is far up in there," he said point up and into the east. "Up in the clouds on a floating chunk of rock."

"Really? Wow, it just kicked in that you are an angel. Demon. What do you tell people when they ask you what race you are?" the elemental asked, looking around at the town. "And who do you figure we should ask about that symbol?"
"I am at a loss for an answer.... for both of your questions," he said with a chuckle. "How about the first person we see who decides to make eye contact with us?" He noticed many people walk by with their heads down.

"Sounds like a good plan!" Jordan chuckled. He found it funny when he looked around and people refused to meet their eyes. It was amusing. But still, Jordan walked beside Kavanah with a warm smile, hoping that someone would make eye contact eventually.
After a few people walked by without gesturing they were there, a younge boy stopped and looked up curious at the two. He then decided it must have been a bad idea because his face got very white from nervousness.

Jordan spotted the young boy, and smiled warmly. He dropped down to one knee so that he was eye-level with the boy. "Hello lad. If you don't mind, might you let us ask you a question?"

"Thank you. Well, there's a symbol on the road leading here, the road that way," Jordan pointed to the road. He turned to the boy again. "It's sort of an eye with a tear drop, and triangles on top of the eye. Have you ever seen one before? And do you know what it is?"
The boy nodded again, "Uh, uh, um, if you walk that way, you um, you will see a big tree..." he said pointing to it, "Th-the ones over there know, but um uh, they won't tell you unless they know they can trust you..." the boy must have decided that he liked Jordan because he started to take them, "I wil uh, take you guys over there."

"Hmm, maybe... it seems too special to be dead, honestly, I think it is probably just sleeping, as some of your people believe," Jordan smiled at the boy.
Kavanah could still feel the life, but it was very dim. "I must also think it is still alive, perhaps just by a bit, but alive none the less."
Dakota was still not so sure. To him it looked dead, so it was dead. "You can believe whatever I guess." they could now see where the trunk met the earth. Dakota pointed to an old woman bundled in a large animal fur coat. "Yalis. She will know of the sign I think. It is always painted on her forehead anyway." he explained. The boy had almost completely warmed up to the two.
