"What, and you think I am?" Namari laughed. "Okay, I am. But if an assassin came after you right this minute and no one was around to help, that wouldnt be an excuse would it?"

"If an assassin came after me right this minute I'd probably die because I haven't the slightest clue on how to defend myself. " Phillis said, still swinging the sword, side to side. "It's sort of family tradition to be assassinated anyways." he added, with a bit of sarcasm. It did seem to happen in his family a lot though.

Namari nodded slowly. "I see...well, I'll die before I let you fall," the elven woman laughed.
"Alright. I want you to lunge at the air, straight forward, and keep doing that. You might loose your balance a few times by doing it, but with enough practice you'll get the hang of it!" she sat down on the ground and watched.

Phillis raised an eyebrow, he wasn't quite sure of how to go about doing what the woman said. " Alright, I might look like an idiot trying it though."
The man tried the move over and over, and just as Namari had warned, he lost his balance nearly every time. He finally gave up, sitting on the ground, panting. " I don't think I have the stamina to keep up with this. My balance is terrible."

"A boy does not become a warrior in an hour. Just as a sapling does not become a full-grown tree in a day. Or a village a kingdom. You can not give up yet." Namari chuckled. "It will grow with you. That sword has seen many battles, and it will see many more once you learn to work with it."

Phillis cringed at the idea of 'dirt, blood and sweat' being a part of fighting. He shook it off, getting the images out of his mind. He would have to get over it.
Phillis got back into the groove of moving his sword from side to side, he tried the move once more. It was definitely an improvement from his first attempt, although his balance still wasn't good enough to keep him from nearly tripping over his own feet. He managed to catch himself before hitting the ground. He sighed. "Can't we try something that doesn't involve balance?"

After about twenty minutes of consecutive attempts, Phillis had finally managed to do the move without falling over, but he was now feeling tired from it. "Urgh," he moaned, as he sat down. "This is a lot of work."

"Well, she heard about Avaleur. She heard I was the hand of the king, and that Avaleur was attacked. She wanted to know if I was alright. She asked a bunch of questions along with that as well. I told her everything she wanted to know, of course, and asked her questions as well. She has not wrote back yet." Namari smirked.
"Anyways, what I found strange was being spoken to in elven once more. I might start speaking it again, try and be more involved in my culture." the woman shrugged, laying on the ground.

"Well, yes, I do." Namari laughed. "Hell, my name is a changed form from farewell in elven, namaarie."
"For instance, I am a cala'quessir, a high elf." Namari smirked. It had been a long time since the woman spoke her language. "Royalty must learn english and elven. Most of our people know both as well."
