Grayson grinned. "Not half bad. Alright, maybe ya ain't useless. We're gonna do some pick pocketin', I guess ya could say. You gotta hide in that tree, and when I give ya the signal, you jump on the guy, I take his wallet and we book it. This'll get us some money so we can actually do somethin' fun."
She knew it was wrong, but when she was living on the street, she always found doing this to be exhilarating. She grinned and nodded, and began climbing the tree. She reached a pretty high tree faster than normal people would, and sat there looking down at Grayson, a smug look on her face.
Grayson gave her a smirk and a thumbs up. He starting talking to a guy. A rather large lanky thug type man. He seemed to be familiar with him. Grayson looked up at Alice and yelled "NOW!"
Grayson quickly stole the wallet. He'd done it before so it was no struggle. He grabbed Alice by the collar and ran as quick as he could. The man had fallen over but he'd be up again in no time.
Alice's eyes widened at this. "Just a few hundred?!" She exclaimed.
I should have Grayson with me when I was living on the streets! She thought. Then, once again, her thoughts went to Phillis, and she immediately felt guilty for this.
"So, um, i-is that all we'll be doing? Or did you have something else planned?"
Grayson and Alices walk took only a few minutes, but the dark sky and creepy streets made it seem much longer.
When they arrived to the pub, he took her around to the back, entering through a creepy, cob-web covered door. He took out a key, and opened the door, letting her go in first.
Alice hesitantly stepped through the door. Once inside, she turned to Grayson and said, "So what are we going to do in here anyways? I'm not drinking, that's for sure!"
Alice crossed her arms and glared defiantly at Grayson. "I'm six years old. I will not drink. I'll meet up with these friends of yours but that's all."
