Clark sat in the cheap house he had purchased with his poker money. He got lucky when it came to poker, but it wasn't like he was suddenly rich off his reward money. All he could find was a small, crappy house with no heating.
He couldn't care less about luxury though, he didn't have any valuable possessions he needed to hide anyways. And he didn't even spend that much time at home. Today was different though. He was taking a break. He lit a cigarette, and brought it to his lips, taking a drag. He exhaled, feeling much more relaxed.

Dani shuffled through the streets, holding in a sneeze. She had gotten sick, not only that but realized she had no money left. Desperate, she knew that it would be stupid, but she had to go out and steal. Just to get enough money to pay for food and such, maybe it would last her until she got a job. She was trying to become a waitress at the bar, but she needed the money now. So, she set out in the dark to find herself some goods, covered from head to toe to hide herself from seeing eyes.
She looked around and spotted a horrible looking house. She gulped. Once I am able to, I'll give them back twice as much money as I stole... Dani gave a slight sigh. She crept up to the house, still holding in that sneeze, and easily slipped through the window. Her ears were pounding with blood, the neko girl was much too sick to be doing this. She could not hear well at all.
She silently looked around the small bedroom. Thats when it happened. Don't sneeze...don't sneeze...don't bloody sneeze! Dani thought to herself as she held her nose to stop it. None the less, she bellowed a loud sneeze, and stood silently for a few moments. Maybe it was her pounding ears decieving her, but she did not here a thing. I don't think anyone's home...
She gave out a relieved sigh, and looked around. She spotted two things automatically- a pouch of coins, about 10-30, and a pack of cigarettes. She smiled softly. May the gods pray from whoever I am about to steal from, and bless them eternally...
Dani tied the pouch to her belt tightly and close, and picked up the cigarettes. She shrugged, placing them in her back pocket.
Clark was no fool. He had trained himself to hear even the slightest noise, let alone a loud sneeze. He himself had quietly snuck in front of the window and had watched Dani for a few moments. The second she grabbed his cigarettes, he decided she needed to be stopped. "Excuse me, miss. Didn't your mama ever teach you not to steal?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

Dani was caught by surprise, spinning towards the man and staring at him for a moment. Don't say a word. Don't let him see your face.
Analyzing him, she realized he could be a big threat. Disoriented Dani slipped her dagger into her hand and lashed out at the mans chest in an attempt to escape.

Dani's dagger bounced back, hitting her in the face, right below her eye. She clenched her teeth as she practically flew by the man out the window, rolling on the round before booking it down the road.
Fucking christ.. Clark cursed in his mind as he jumped out the window, he rolled and began chasing after the girl. If he weren't such a chain smoker, he could have caught up with her instantly. Rather, it only took him a moment longer to tackle the girl down. He tried to be as gentle as possible. After all, girls were fragile.

Dani yelled out, "Gods be fucking damned!" Enoch will definitely not let me into the group if he hears about this...
The good thing about being small, is that when someone big grabs you, or tackles you, you can move easily in their hold. She spun around onto her back, her hood and cloth covering her head falling off to reveal her head. At this, she slipped her hand out from underneath the man and brought the blade directly to his throat, skin bending to the blade, but not piercing the skin.
She huffed, staring the man directly at his eyes with eyebrows furrowed. She would wince each time her ears would pound, but she kept her concentration up none the less.

Clark looked up at the woman, about to say something when he stopped and smiled. "You know, under the moonlight you're rather beautiful, miss. Especially with all that passion in your eyes." he winked.

"I suggest you get your fat-ass off of me! A girl needs to feed herself too, ya know, I'll pay you back when I can!" she barked out, blade still to the mans neck with a firm grip. "Jeez, what do you need it for anyways, you're dressed up all fancy enough..."
"Why thank you, I try my best. I've got to represent, you know?" Clark laughed, as if they were having a nice conversation over dinner. " No, honey, I'm afraid I'm not able to accept your sins quite so easily. You see, pretty girls shouldn't be doing ugly work. It just isn't right. I suggest you get a job and earn your money, like the rest of us." he smiled politely.

"Oh yeah, like I'm not trying to!" she sighed, gritting her teeth once more. "I'm getting a job, I've just not been hired yet and I have no money left. I'm starved, sue me!"
"Ah, my dear, that's a sad story. Perhaps you could have dinner with me tonight?" Clark suggested. A man who still loved to flirt, even with a blade to his neck.

"Bite me!" she yelled. Giving off a sigh, she muttered, "I'll give you twice the ammount of money back once I get the job, alright? It's just this one time, really!"
"No, no. Did you not hear me, miss? I'm afraid I can't sit idly by as you make nothing of yourself. You need to stop resorting to violence. It is never the answer." He gently shifted so that it would be easier for the girl to breath and move, but he quickly got a grip on her belt. "One false move and you flash me. Not that I would mind, of course."
Clark laughed, a bit of blood dripped down his neck where the blade was pressing in. "Please, I just like to see the good in people and you're making it a bit difficult, dear. If you were to give back my possessions, all would be peachy. I'd buy you dinner and hey, maybe we'd hit off? You can't deny that we'd be one good looking pair."

Dani gritted her teeth. She didn't have a good selection of choices here. With her free hand, she grabbed both the cigarettes and the pouch of coins and practically threw them at the man. "Now get the hell off of me!" she managed to sigh.
Clark sighed, he leaned back as he retrieved his possessions. " Now, don't go running away, little lady. I understand you're struggling, so instead of sending you into a world of crime, I'm interested in helping you get a job." he lit a cigarette and brought it to his lips. "Sweet deal, eh?"

After getting the chance to join a group of criminals, no way was she going back. But, the more money to live the better, so she nodded with a shrug. "I'm sure I'll get the job at the pub. They've been looking for help for a while," Dani folded her arms. "Now, might I ask you to please get off of me, I feel my legs falling asleep.
