"Hell, I arrived at night both when I was fifteen and now, and it was the brightest thing I'd ever seen. Daylight isn't bad at all as a human, but as a demon you really got to get used to it," Walter chuckled. "Hell, did I ever mention how this was not my first time surfacing? The first time I ever left Cresthunt since I got there, I went to Paineston."

"Well, my lord requested me to do a job there. My first job. Now, I was finally getting out of my hometown, so all I cared about was having fun. Upon arriving in Paineston I took the appearance of someone dyeing near me, just as I had for Dante. I looked the same basically like my human form now- long hair, long face, I just had a bulkier body."
"Once I turned human I went to a festival in Paineston, with the king and his family riding by," Walter grinned. "Don't tell Phillis, but I saw him. Anyways, I noticed a girl there. Very pretty thing. And, don't look too down on me for this, but I wanted to have some...fun, per say. Her name was Scarlett, and I convinced her to have some enjoyment with me. I learned that she was from a wealthy family, as well, and that I was lucky enough to have been with her."
"My lord sort of got pissed and demanded me home. So, while Scarlett was sleeping, I left. I got in trouble of course, and never heard or seen Scarlett again." Walter frowned. Scratching the back of his head, he continued, "Basically I was not allowed a job out of Cresthunt. I gained up Death's trust, and became his right-hand man. And I went to Avaleur."
"One last thing to add to my story...Phillis and I were going to Paineston, to speak with his brother, when we rescued a child from the life of crime in a sort of thieves group. Turns out the boy is my son. I met with Scarlett again, who is not doing very good money wise. But, now that I know I have a child I'm paying her," Walter shrugged, "not to mention Grayson- my son- comes to Avaleur often. He looks like me. And apparently he's a very bad kid when I'm not around, but an angel when I am!"
Roland was speechless for a moment, "Your son is an angel? How embarrassing!" he joked as a huge grin spread across his face, "It is ok we all make stupid decisions. So how old where you again... I'm trying to do the math and it makes you pretty young when you had your 'fun'." he chuckled. The body must have been older, he thought.

"Well, I was fifteen with the fun. I'm twenty-four now. Grayson's about eight then I'm guessing," Walter smirked. "I wish he were an actual angel though. Then maybe he'd stop going around to people telling them he can kick their asses because he's a demon. It gives him an ego boost that I'm head demon basically."
Roland laughed, "I may have seen him around town before!" he remembered see a boy running around the said something around those line to a whole squad of market guards.
He laughed again, "Oh I am sure all boys are like that at some point. I remember when I was little a destroyed everything I could get my wooden sword to break."

"Hmm...actually, I think I was a fairly obedient child. But, that comes from getting beaten and then being raised by death, the person who could make your life literally a living hell for all eternity."

"I suppose that makes sense!" Walter grinned cheekily. The sun was nearly completely set. Walter welcomed the cool breezes that ruffled his feathers and brushed over the many scars he held. He knew where each came from. "Do you plan on having any children one day?" he asked.
"If I can find a women crazy enough to settle with me I figure I will die in battle before I get the chance." it was a very morbid thought, but many of his friends had died young, and he hadn't even met a girl yet. Not to mention he had almost died several times already.

"Roland, a woman who isn't interested in you is crazy!" Walter laughed. "I mean think about it! I hav-I had a girlfriend. I'm a psychotic demon. And you're smart, I doubt you'd die before the chance to see little brats running around your house!"
"Oh they will most definitely be fighters, at least I hope. The house would get very awkward for me if none of them wanted anything to do with weapons or armor and the like." that thought made him worry a bit, what if none of his children wanted to be like him? What would he teach them, what could he teach them if not about fighting or hunting...
