Phillis had been drinking in the pub. Drinking, and drinking, and a little more drinking. It felt like a relief to be able to do so again. Nobody recognized him anymore. He was just another washed out face. Aha.. He looked so ridiculous, he fit in for once. It didn't feel so bad after all.
Until his fist met with the guys face. Before Phillis had time to realize it, he'd gotten into a fight and he was winning. Haha, look at me, mama. Aren't you so proud? He couldn't stop hitting the guy, punch after punch. Kneeing him and kicking him. He think he may have even bitten him at some point. What was he doing? He was too intoxicated to notice.
The next sensation he felt was his bare cheek drag across the concrete ground. Oh, so he'd gotten thrown out? What a pity. D'ya see that, mama? Your baby can fight after all. Ain't you proud? He's a washout, a loser, and mama, he's never felt more like dieing. He got up onto his hands and knees, biting his lower lip to stop himself from crying. God save me. Mama, I'm scared, what should I do? This isn't the life I wanted. Why can't I find someplace I belong?
Elizabeth elegantly walked through the back alley behind the pub, smiling to herself in a slightly evil yet innocent manner. she twirled her parasol gently, almost tempted into ignoring the young adult she just walked passed. She stopped, turning around and looking at him a bit more carefully. It was him. Phillis. The so called dead king. Elizabeth almost broke out into laughter, but she felt bad. Here he was, no longer a spoiled brat... Learning how cruel the world was. " oh look here what i found. Hmm... A brat, finally learning about the truth. You must of suffered greatly, your highness." She had a sting to her words, as if using slight sarcasm in her last sentence. "Should i grant you strength, and the promise of revenge? I'm not sure if you have suffered enough for that unfortunately. Prove to me you have though, and ill re-think about if you deserve power, freedom, and revenge."
She snapped her fingers once. A small burst of flame appeared and vanished... a scroll now being held gently in Elizabeth's hands, tied with a black ribbon. Her smile almost never left her face, but Elizabeth looked at him with sympathy. What a shameful and pathetic king.

Phillis raised an eyebrow. His tear stained face seemed almost childish. His usually clean-shaven chin was now covered in the stubble he had once considered 'disgusting' and 'unclean.' He no longer wore nice clothing. Yet, he felt as terrible as he always had. True be told, Phillis was only a spoiled, content child in paineston. In Avaleur, he had always felt miserable.
"What are you talking about...?" he asked, not quite understanding the womens intentions.
She stopped smiling, almost glaring at him as if he was filth. "Dont make me repeat myself. I consider you as filth. Dirt. Scum. You dont deserve to have me repeat myself, but i will say it again this once: Should i grant you strength, and the promise of revenge? I'm not sure if you have suffered enough for that unfortunately. Prove to me you have though, and ill re-think about if you deserve power, freedom, and revenge." The scroll glowed a dark purple blue, floating in the air with a dark magic.
Elizabeth tapped her foot impatiently, sick of the filth of the alley. It was filled with the smell of stale mead, ale, and beer. It almost made her sick to her stomache.

"R-Revenge?" Phillis asked himself. Hopefully she didn't expect a fully grown drunk man to clue in right away.
He thought everything over. All those times he was treated like shit, not once was he shown respect, and the few times he was, it was by those ignorant to the harsh ways of the world. Revenge. It sounded nice, but was it really worth it? It seemed a bit far but.. The drunk mind makes wonderful mistakes. But Phillis didn't think he'd regret it. After all, Avaleur had ruined his life.
"Yes, what you say sounds good. How do I prove myself?"
"why do you want revenge? What have this world done to you?" Her grin faded a bit, waving a wide length with her right hand in front of phillis. It would tell her is he was lying. and if he was, he would not be forgiven. He would not get a chance, She could kill him, and put him out of his misery...but that would be too easy. She would make life harder for him, somehow.

"Uh.. well.." Phillis sat down, resting his back against the pub wall. He somehow was feeling more sober now. Was it a spell, perhaps?
"I guess it started right before I came to Avaleur. I used to be the prince of Paineston, and my elder brother was to become king, that was obvious. My parents were assassinated, unexpectedly and my brother become king much sooner than expected. My magic was taken from me, and given to my brother, so that he would be a powerful king. My little sister got to keep hers though. So I was outcasted in my own family. It was no big deal. I left to Avaleur, to live a life of my own. Upon arriving here, the commoner lifestyle disgusted me, but I adapted. I fell in love with a boy, but he died shortly after in the first massacre. My house was also destroyed in a riot. Then, after a severe blow to the head, an attempt to assassinate me, I lost all memory of my past. This kingdom held a tournament to decide who would become king, because of my amnesia, I decided to enter. I won." he sighed, remembering. "I was king for a couple of months before my memory returned. People had been very kind to me. On the same night my memory returned, so did my resurrected lover. I guess that kept me from going insane. From then on, people began to treat me poorly. Worse and worse as the days went past. Despite the many good things I did for this shitty kingdom, I got no recognition. It was never enough for them. To top things off, my brother sent an assassin to kill me. He wanted to take over my kingdom. I would have let him have it. There was no need for such drastic measures. I nearly died, but decided to fake my death anyways. Why would I want to go back to that life? Especially if it meant danger to anyone else.. Anyways, long story short, I've always gotten the fuzzy end of the lollipop. But it seems like I've only just now, hit rock bottom."
Why was he telling her all this? He wasn't sure. Somehow he felt as if he could trust this woman. Despite her attitude. It didn't help that he was still a little drunk.
Finally, elizabeth snapped her fingers. a Royal blue surrounding phillis and the scroll. The ribbon from the scroll floated over to phillis, landing in his hands. In a small flass of light, in a burst of many firflies, an old looking gold rose necklace laid in his hands.
"That necklace means you are one of us... A part of my group out for revenge. " The scroll opened for elizabeth to read. "From now on, you will be known as Hayden Gayle." Holding her hand out to him, she finally smiled kindly, and gently. She was different now. almost loving. "Do you vow to remain loyal to me, and your new family?"

Phillis stared at the objects in his hands, and then nodded his head. "Yeah, I'll remain loyal. But wait, there's more of you? Do you all go by weird names? You all want revenge?" he was full of questions.
Elizabeth rolled her eyes. " These names are who we are now. We didn't choose them, Hayden. These names can protect us. They disguise us- give us a new chance at life. Have you ever thought about how many lives were affected by the series of unfortunate events here in Avaleur? Like the war, massacres, and such? We lost something. something we cannot replace. All we want is revenge... We want avaleur to feel how it made us feel."
She continued to hold her hand out to him, getting annoyed. Elizabeth hoped that he would friggen clue in soon.

Elizabeth needed to realize this man was drunk, and therefore, not exactly prepared for this situation. Phillis hesitantly took her hand and shook it, and then looked up at her. "Yeah, sorry." pointed to him self. "Useless drunk, still getting used to the whole revenge concept."
She rolled her eyes at him, starting to drag him off somewhere. "come on, this is no place to be chatting. Especially while your drunk." After awhile of walking- which was very hazey for the drunk Hayden, they arrived at the base. it was hidden well, of course. the inside was a complete mess... But it was fairly large. everything was scattered and disorganized. "we have only recently moved into this place...so its looking pretty sad right now. Kinda like you." She laughed, leading him down a set of old wooden stairs.
It lead to a dark hallway, with five rooms. Two on the left, Two on the right, and one down the hall. The two on the left connected to each other, as did the rooms on the right. "Hayden, you will be staying in the first room to the left. the second room on the left is just an empty room for now, some with the second room on the right. the first room on the right is the girls room. Yes, you have to share a room with the rest of the guys in the group. I'm usually in the room at the end of the hall. There is a bathroom in your room. So you should really go wash up and change so i can introduce you to the rest of the group. There are some bags of clothing in the second room to the left. Don't worry, the room connects to your room. The doors don't have locks yet, but believe me... locks aren't really needed. You ll learn your way around soon enough. I have to go help prepare supper." She Elizabeth patted his shoulder, hurrying away to take care of her family.
The bedroom was medium sized... a few bedrolls laying around, and a few terribly built wooden bunk beds. primages.colemans.com/2984.gif ((Instead of the mesh and springs, its just wood. no mattresses.)) Since there was no mattresses, you would have to put the bedroll onto the bunk beds. clothing was scattered all over the room, along with blankets and pillows. The washroom was kinda nice though.
((Hmm... where will their hideout be located? Also... i think we should request a thing like the shadow guild has... RP pages for their own hideout))

Hayden looked around the room hesitantly. Everything about it was gross, and he strongly hated filth. But he shrugged it off the best he could. He was a new person now. He'd get over it. He did as Elizabeth told him, and washed up and then changed his clothing. He sighed. Hopefully he'd be able to pull himself together enough to meet the others.
Mariya hummed to herself as she walked around, looking for Elizabeth. She finally spotted her. "Hello~" she chimed, a cheerful greeting. "Whose the new guy? Kinda looks like Von Christ!"
Smiling, elizabeth walked over to mariya. "Hello Mariya~ Eww Von christ...", Elizabeth went pale and did the gagging motion. " Ugh you wouldnt believe me if i told you. The new guy is Hayden Gayle. He is a bit slow about the group because he is drunk..." She rolled her eyes. "But having hayden on our side may work to our advantage. Mariya, Haydin IS Phillis Von Christ. The world kinda screwed him over, and now he is acting like a spoiled brat throwing a tantrum. I found him in an alley, more drunk then he is now. He is sobering up now though i think. As much as i wanted to just leave him there, i couldnt... Yes, i give you and everyone else permission to totally pound down on him about how much he fucked up."
Mariya shook her head. "No. That would make us all hypocrites and you know it! You told us to always be kind to the new member, so that's what I intend to do. Besides, this is a new start for him. He is no longer Von Christ, he is.. whatever you said his new name was."
" Yeah, your right... I guess i just dont like the von christ kid that much. But still, he isnt von christ anymore. He is Hayden. Lets just hope that this doesnt turn around and bite us in the ass." se sighed walking into the kitchen area and throwing a pot of stew on the stove. Elizabeth stirred carefully, adding in many chopped ingrediants.
"The smell of stale all and mead is probably getting to me. I guess im just a bit tired. i fell asleep in the study again last night." elizabeth frowned, leaning on the counter.
"Again? Isn't that unprofessional of you, Elizabeth?" Elwood laughed as he entered the room. "I'm only kidding! Heard there was some fresh meat around here. That's exciting! It's been awhile!"
