"I'm glad I wasn't hurt, too. You weren't hurt, right?" she turned to face him, a worried expression. She was too worried about herself to notice if he had gotten hurt at all. Dani placed a hand on his shoulder. "Goodness, I hope you weren't hurt. I'll pay for any medical bills if you were!"
Sanaki was a bit surprised by Dani's worried expression, though it also troubled him he didn't want people to be worried but he also didn't want to lie, "Well, yeah i got hurt a little i suppose, he threw a blade and it cut into my arm" Sanaki nodded towards his left arm; "but its no problem for me really, you see i can heal a lot of wounds quite easily" Sanaki showed his right hand covered in a faint light, "Theres no reason to worry about me" he said while grinning.

Dani examined the wound before nodding slowly. "Alright...as long as you're not hurt, too much. What do you want at the pub, anyways? Get anything you want, you deserve it. You're practically my own little hero," she winked at him, before turning and facing the direction of the pub again. They were nearing the building, Dani could see the top of it.
Sanaki blushed as Dani winked at him, he figured if he were to blush anymore then he already was the color would become a deeper red than his eyes but he kept walking nonetheless 'own little hero huh? can't say I've been called that before...'.
"You sure you don't want me to pay? i can seriously its not a problem" Sanaki persisted it wasn't matter of if he was a savior or hero he just didn't want people paying on his behalf, though people doing things for him was the main reason on how he got here.

"Take it as my thanks, really," Dani laughed. They reached the doors, and Dani opened them, leaving it open for Sanaki to walk through. "You're really polite, you know that? I mean, I don't mind, it's nice, but really. When I say I'm going to do something, I'll do it."
"If you insist" Sanaki shrugged as they reached the doors, "Yeah i know i grew up polite i suppose, but when i arrived in Avaleur i figured i wouldn't need the help of others to get by and i wouldn't let people do things for me...but i suppose i can let that go once in a while" Sanaki laughed lightly and nodded in thanks for holding the door; "I suppose i could go for a drink as well" he smiled broadly while he spoke.

"Alright, we'll get drinks then!" Dani smirked, walking up to the counter and taking a bar seat. She shivered slightly, the last time she was there, Devan had been. But it was slightly relaxing knowing Sanaki was there.
"Just grab me some whiskey or something, Jack," she smiled at the bartender. He nodded, turning to Sanaki with a smile. "And for you young man?" he asked.
Sanaki took a bar seat next to Dani before looking around the place it almost looked new its like a fight never occurred here in the first place a lot of people must have loved it here enough to rebuild from the ground up, though that didn't stop the memories from coming back, Sanaki could most likely relive the event in his mind if he wanted too; but he decided against it no use in painful thoughts.
He turned to the bartender in surprise "First time I've been called that" though he was mainly talking to himself he laughed slightly before continuing "i-I'll j-just have beer t-t-thank you" he replied nervously, he normally didn't have a problem with shop owners and such but he was hoping not to be remembered for burning down the place so he ordered something light and unnoticeable, besides Kumi never did like it when he came home drunk.
Sanaki snapped out of staring at some bottles that had a weird look to them trying to remember if he had seen them before at far-off markets, "Hm? oh, i teach at the school here my lessons range from fire magic to advance healing" Sanaki replied positively since teaching was something he rather enjoyed doing.
"What about you? are you still a waitress or have you moved on to something else?".

"Yeah, still a waitress!" she chuckled as the bartender gave her her drink. She took a gulp of it before continuing, "I do odd jobs here and there, nothing special or exciting." Because stealing, killing and raiding were oh so boring jobs.
"I see...like what?" Sanaki pondered for a bit on the idea of odd jobs, when he arrived in Avaleur he figured he would likely be doing those until he had enough money to restock on supplies and then move along, however when he asked around it seemed no one really needed his assistance aside from the infirmary but as soon as his usefulness ran out they cut him loose; he decided to shake it off...for now he was positive it would come back to bug him later.
"Well its good you managed to stick to this job for this long, most people leave as soon as they can, or so i hear" Sanaki replied cheerfully...wait but how would he know if she had stuck to this job long? he sighed at himself in his mind for being such a fool; "So have long have y-you been here?" he added quickly 'well at least it serves as a way to keep the conversation going...' Sanaki thought to himself.

"A couple of months. You have to be a certain type of person to be able to handle some of these people!" She laughed. The bartender heard that, and chuckled.
Though, she did not answer what 'odd jobs' she did. "Do you like teaching?"
Sanaki confusion only grew with Dani's answer and the laugh certainly wasn't helping either but all Sanaki could do was chuckle nervously along with them "Ok that's avoiding the question of odd jobs but...s-sure?" Sanaki rubbed the side of his head looking at floor hoping it might offer some answers but to no avail.
Taking a gulp from his drink returned his gaze back to Dani "Well i find teaching quite fun despite what most people say, and I'm helping kids make a change for the better in their lives" Sanaki answered as thoroughly as he could but came to an inevitable stop with a sigh "The more time i spend here the less i want to travel, maybe a should settle down here..." Sanaki trailed off once more into his thoughts, "Gah! sorry i went off into a little rant and then spaced out" Sanaki quickly apologized the best he could for being ignorant.
Sanaki laughed, he wasn't really planning on leaving in the first place after all he had a house, a job, and a life here, not to mention Kumi took a real liking to the place too; "I'm staying don't worry after all this place is really nice, i don't have any idea why i would leave" Sanaki smiled to emphasize his point, "What about you? you're not planning on leaving are you?".

"Oh no, I'm sticking here for a while. I like it here. I got a job, a bunch of friends, and there's a lot of opportunity here," she grinned. Then she added with a shrug, "I guess I might go traveling when I'm older, but I don't think I would ever leave here. It's too much fun here!"
Dani took the last sip of her drink before handing it to the bartender, who began making her a drink once again. "Have you made many friends?" she asked, taking the finished drink from the bartender and another sip.
Sanaki was going to answer with a smile but as quickly as it appeared it vanished as the cruel reality struck him, all of his friends...most were ether dead, missing, or just plain left Avaleur entirely, Sanaki pondered if he should even be talking to Dani right now, would she disappear too? Sanaki could only stare at his glass before mumbling "U-uh y-yeah i have" though Sanaki tried to sound cheerful his face betrayed him.

Dani smiled at first, not looking at Sanaki's face. But once she looked over she raised an eyebrow, then frowned. "What's the matter?" she asked. How she spoke was slightly demanding, as she leaned forward slightly to hear what the man had to say.
Sanaki glanced at Dani but the site made him feel worse, he didn't want to make her worry "Nothing wrong just some old memories is all...l-lets just say i do have friends but most have 'left' so really i don't have many friends" Sanaki attempted to chuckle to lighten the mood but it across as more of a huff; Sanaki stared at his drink a little more before trying to change the subject, "S-so what about you? have many friends yourself?".
