Grayson walked around the alleys, lost. A surprise visit to dad, that seemed nice! Walter would not mind, he loved his son with all of his heart. Besides, Grayson wanted to meet the woman that Walter seemed to be madly in love with. Or so mommy said.
It was night, the young boy had arrived later than expected. The demon blood in him was telling him to go onward through the alleys, his human blood was telling him to go home, it was not right here.
Of course the boy was stubborn, and went along. Sure, he was lost, but as soon as he got to the castle he would be fine. Ask them where his father was.
He had heard things on the way there. A group of travelers speaking of people taking over the castle, but being defeated. Grayson did not believe them, and carried on. Daddy was too tough to let that happen in the first place. He was the head of demons, Lucifer's son, practically! The thought made Grayson grin. Lucifer was similar to a grandfather, then. Though he had never met the devil.
Grayson jumped at the sound of something dropping in the alley. He might be the son of a great demon, but Grayson was just a child. A boy. And he was scared. He wanted his mom, or dad. Most of all, he wanted to go home. He was not strong enough to fight off a criminal, nowhere near that. He talked big, sure, but that was it.
The boy quickened his pace, and turned, hiding in a pitch black alley. It was a dead end, but the boy sat down as his heart pounded. Was he going to be kidnapped? Beaten? Mugged? Worse?
Blood rushed through his ears as he listened, hoping he would be okay.
