"Officially yes, but I knew who he was before hand." it was one of the people he had to scout before he came into town under business reasons. "So what are we to do know? I suppose pay for this stuff." he chuckled as he looked at the food and drink. Normally he wouldn't care, but since Dani worked there, well it didn't feel right.

Dani shook her head and laughed. "I'll just get the boss to take it off of my pay," she smiled, "And don't say no to me. I want to treat you." She gently took Xavier's hand with a small smile playing on her lips as she looked at their entwined fingers.
"I'm just glad that you're okay," the neko girl spoke softly, clutching his hand even tighter.
His heart couldn't help but beat a little faster. Did she mean to say that? He had to wonder, 'Don't say no, I want to treat you.'? He wasn't sure if it was a subtle message or not. Probably not but after what Dante said his mind was already in that area.
"Trust me, you are not the only one." he smiled squeezing her hand back. He was overjoyed to be back. It was as if he had died, or been chained to a wall and finally free, able to move and feel.

She smiled. "Of course not. Now, what would you like to do? Anything you want to talk about?" Danielle asked as she leaned back in her chair, still grasping the man's hand.
"We can talk of whatever you wish, business, pleasure, anything really." he stated simply. The fact that the Shadow Guild would be going on a raid soon would be news to Dani, she didn't know of it, and because of the raid so close he was worried they would be without any 'masters' to do it. That being because Kyle was possibly still out of town.

Dani smirked, a blush threatening her cheeks but she ignored the thought. "Do you know of how the guild's been doing? I mean, I haven't really been in a little bit. Sort of preoccupied with finding a remedy, and a person to help with that remedy," the woman stated simply. Who knows, maybe Kyle visited Xavier while he wasn't doing so good and updated him.
He laughed a bit, so it would be business, and a surprise. "There are many new members and a job is coming up, you'll be a part of the Raiding team this time." he explains to her with a smile on his face. "Surprise."

Surprise.
She stared at him for a moment, a simple expression on her face. Then, it was all panic. "I've never done a raid! I don't know what to do! I normally work alone!" "What if I end up screwing a teammate over? What if I fail my part?" She spoke in rapid succession, more to herself than Xavier. And it wasn't like she was angry- more or less, freaking out out of fear.
Then, Dani tensed up, not saying the next question in her head as she thought of the new recruits. What if I get replaced?

"Dani, Dani calm down will you. We wouldn't have chosen you for this raid if someone else was a better fit. In truth I wouldn't have picked myself if someone was a better fit. There will be a informative meeting and short walk through beforehand. you will be okay." he said calmly as he could, like a teacher or mentor. He hadn't expected such a surprise. But he supposed it was a pretty big one.

Dani, though a little more calmed down, couldn't help but feel the pressure. "I've never worked with anyone else on a crime, Xavier. Never," she spoke nervously.
Xavier chuckled, it wasn't very nice, but her freaking out was a bit amusing. "Well soon you will be, and don't worry we are a top notch team to take to the raid, we will all do fine." he reassures her.

"...alright, alright...I trust you..." she mumbled, with a slightly relieved sigh. If Xavier thought it would be okay, it was worth a shot, right? "Who's going on the raid?" she asked.

Danielle nodded slowly, silently hoping that Kyle and Dax weren't both going to be there. Kyle was a fine person, Dax was sometimes difficult but they had seemed to learn how to deal with each other in a civil manner. But putting two and two together? Bad, bad idea. As she finished her drink off as well, she held back a yawn.
"Do you want anything else? More food or water?" she asked as she saw his empty glass.
He thought it over, oddly enough he was rather full, probably due to his stomach shrinking from the lack of eating before. "Thank you but I am fine." He smiled kindly to her, what would he have ever done without her. She had basically saved his life. Which most people would kill for the chance to watch him die. It warmed him to know she actually cared, and he cared for her as well.
"Unless you wish to have anything else, I am fine with retiring back to the house if you are." he didn't mean it in any sort of sexual way, in fact he wasn't even thinking it which was a bit odd given the fact that it was just a moment ago.

"I'm alright. It's been quite the day, and besides, I'm sure you're wanting to return home after what you've endured," she stated, sitting up. She wasn't exactly sure if Xavier wanted her to stay the night at his house, but he did seem to at least want her to go with him there.
"Let's head out, then," Danielle smiled, standing up, still holding onto his hand.
"Alright then." He smiled. Pleased with the days events. Xavier stood, leaving everything that was on the table behind and walked to the door, he nearly ran right into it before stopping just in time and opening it. He never would have guessed that he would need to get used to opening doors again.
The two walked outside into the crisp night air, it wasn't too cold but it had a bit of a bite to it. The trees could be heard rustling in the breeze and the moon was just peaking out from the curtains of the clouds which allowed for a fair amount of light to light the way through town and back to Xavier's place.
"Wonderful night is it not?" he asked her as he himself was enjoying its beauty.

Dani looked at Xavier, then around. It looked pretty normal to her. But, she had to take into consideration what Xavier had been through. He thought he was going to die- and now he is going to live. Everything must have felt wonderful to him at that moment. And hey- she was pretty happy too. She smiled. "Yeah, it is," looking ahead of them she moved closer, resting the side of her head on his side.
"So what did you do, anyways? You know, while you were all messed up?" Danielle chuckled.
She was right to think it was just a normal night, really as normal as they came, well besides the events and such. But she was also right to figure that things felt different for Xavier as he was basically given new life.
"I did a lot of think and that is about it." he stated. He had thought about many things, love, free will, power, the guild, Cornelius...
"That and practiced some techniques, it comes in handy when you don't have to worry about breaking anything in the house." he laughed a little remembering training in the house and phasing through things. It only lasted until he could hold things again though.
