Steele hid next to Roland as the large footsteps stopped. A sudden and powerful scorching beam vaporized the trees as a very loud dragons roar was heard. The large golden hided dragon looked around and see's Rolands decoy and starts heading towards it. "Aye tis' takin' thee bait." Steele whispered. The dragon tilts it's head sideways before batting the decoy out of the way with its tail. "Shit.." Steele says. "I hope ye had a plan B."
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."
"Well, sort of," Roland frowns, his first plan might have failed, but the decoy served two purposes. The dragon was on top o everything that Roland could find that was dry and or what would burn. He had poured what beer he had on the trap, now all he had to do was light it. "Steele, you have one shot, you got to get its wings!" he hands the spear to him and starts toward the dragon with his flint. "I got to light my plan B!"

"Hey, what am I suppost to do?!" Namari argued, then sighed as she gripped her sword in her fist. She quickly hid up against a tree, watching the dragon. Although it could kill her, Namari felt relaxed because of the dragon. Mostly because of its golden hide.
Roland sprinted arcoss the marsh, if he could light his trap it may flustered the dragon enough to allow them to have the upperhand.
The dragon swung its tail at Roland, he was able to drive over it and roll onto the ground. He got up and continued to run, but he had forgot about the tail, it swung back at him and drilled him in the back. He was sent through the air and passed by trees in the air. 'If I hit one of those, I'm not getting up,' Roland prayed that he didn't as the trees flashed by him. He skidded across the muddy ground and came to a stop. Roland struggled to get up, he was bruised bad and the wind had been knocked out of him. The dragon did however put him closer to his trap.

Dammit! Namari thought, watching Roland go flying. Namari turned her attention to the dragon, and sighed. Jumping out of her hiding spot, she grabbed a rock from the ground and threw it at the dragon. "Think you're so tough, ehh?" she yelled, chucking the rock at it's head. It hit, and the dragon quickly looked at Namari. She readied her sword, stepping closer to it. What are those two waiting for? I can only buy them so much time!
Namari's distraction created the perfect oppurtunity for Steele to throw the spear. He took one giant step out from his hiding spot, "Chew on this ye' buzzzard!" He says throwing the spear. It goes very fast.....so fast that it misses the dragon completely and into the distance. The dragon just looks at the two of them and growls. "Oh shit..." Steele mutters.
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."

Namari shook her head, and rushed towards the dragon. She jumped, slashing it across the eyes. It growled in pain, and did not open it's eyes. "I think I blinded it!" Namari yelled, landing on the ground. It heard her, and snapped its jaws in her direction. She jumped out of the way, "You've got to be kidding!"
Roland ran over and was able to light the trap with his flint, the spark ignited the pile of corpses, twigs, beer, etc. The fire spread and went underneath the belly of the dragon. He then saw that Steele had thrown the spear into a tree next to him. He yanks it out of the tree and throws it through the wings as the dragon begins to fly away from the fire. Just as the wings open the spear goes through with ease, they tangle and the dragon falls back to the ground.

Trying to get away from the fire, Namari jumped into a tree. "That was easier than expected!" she yelled to the other knights. She wiped the blood from her arm where the dragon had got her. "Are we just going to let it burn to death?" she raised an eyebrow to her companions.
The dragon leaps off the ground and smash a few trees where it lands. Roland collapses on the ground and holds his back. "I'm not sure how much help I'll be," he yells to the others. The dragon hears his voice and sends a blast from his mouth towards Roland. He rolls out of the way but the heat burns his left arm.

Namari jumped out of the tree and rushed for Roland. Grabbing the back of his shirt, she threw him deeper into the forest and faced the dragon. It blew fire at her, and she ducked, avoiding the flame. "My god, this thing is annoying!" She yelled, rushing for it at an attempt to pierce through it's heart. It Blew fire at her before she could reach it, causing her to leap out of the way closer to the dragons head. It snapped at her, and she slashed at it's snout.
Roland staggered up. He saw Namari facing the dragon alone. 'I have to help her!' He sees his spear dangling from the wings of the dragon. He starts to hopple over. If he could get underneath he could grab the spear and stab it in the heart.
The fire around the area was intense, Steele had been seperated from the other two for a short time. Finally reaching the area where the dragon had landed he saw Roland in one direction, and Namari in the other. If someone wasn't in the middle the dragon would pick them off one at a time. Charging on all fours, Steele runs straight at the golden dragon. "Ova' here ye over grown gecko!" He yells getting its attention. The dragon wastes no time and blows fire right at Steele. Steele manages to leap a great distance over the fire but not without getting burned on his legs. Landing on its snout he digs his claws into its scales holding on for dear life.
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."
Roland hears Steele yell and looks up to see him jump and land on the dragons nose, the dragon swing it's head wildly trying to shake him off. He had to get there soon, Steele couldn't hold on forever. Although it hurt, he started to run to his dangling spear.

Namari gritted her teeth. The two of them had wounds much more severe to hers, and the two of them just go right back into battle. Typical.
Shaking off the pain in her arm, she rushed at the dragon. It was preocupied by Steele, not to mention she had already blinded it, so the beast did not see her coming. Reaching the body of the dragon, she was about to shove her sword in, when she stopped.
...where exactly is the heart? she wondered, sword still up in the air. She slowly lowered it, and began tapping her chin with one hand to her waist. Clearly she forgot that she was in a dangerous situation.
Roland run over to where the spear was dangling, he jumped up and grabbed it. He came down and ran over to plunge it into the dragon's chest, but the chain was too short, he couldn't reach. Roland placed proper footing and jabbed up into it's belly in six places as hard as he could before the dragon sent it's tail underneath it and jabbed at Roland. He was able to stick his spear out but the tail had enough force to power through it and slammed into Roland.
Roland was knocked down onto the ground. The dragon's blood was dripping down from the wounds they had given it and covered Roland's armor.
"I think we're getting to it." he said. The blow from the dragon's tail hurt much less than the first, showing that it was becoming tired and weak.
The spear had stuck into the dragon's tail, it had insnared itself with the chain. The dragon's wings, tail, and one of its feet had been tangled.

"Oh I get it! Tis' is stupid question day nd' no hinny told me aboot it! No I'm not alright hinny! Finish thee damn thing!" Steele yelled as the dragon continued to whip around weakly.
"Ah'm nothin' like me' fatha', nd' ah'll sure as hell keep it that way."
Roland noticed that Namari seemed to be searching for something, like the best place of attack, "The chest! Just above where the neck starts to turn into the belly," he yelled as he pointed at the spot he was referring to.
He placed his burned arm on the ground to help himself up, he falls back down. He had forgotten it was injured, he repeated the process with his other arm and got to his feet.
