Phillis shot his head up the second he heard the door open. He held onto Alice tightly. Could this possibly be another assassin attacking? He couldn't trust anyone anymore. Kyle could have easily sent someone to make sure the job was finished. He pulled the claymore from the side of his bed, holding Alice with his other arm. He pointed the sword at Enoch. "What do you want?!" he asked in a loud whisper.
To be hostile was expected, but holding a claymore with one hand? He doubted Phillis had the strength to actually do anything with that. "We need to get you out of here. Phillis, I know it is hard to trust anyone right now, but you have got to trust me."

Phillis sighed and dropped the claymore on the bed. His arm was too weak to keep holding it. He'd probably tear stitches if he tried any longer. " Why do you want to help me?"
"I have always been trying to help you Phillis, ever since we tried to talk with your brother. We don't have a whole lot of time but before we can leave here there is just a few things you need to do. It may seem a bit confusing but I need you to write a letter giving freedom to the werewolves. Sign it and then I will be able to place it in the throne room." He was going to leave it at that but he figured without further explanation Phillis wouldn't agree. "In order to successfully pin this one the right person and clear the names of the ones you care about it is needed." the papers would make it seem like Phillis would release the weres and therefore but the blame on a different werewolf pack. Maybe even back to Balius, but Kyle and Steele's pack would be off the hook.

Phillis nodded his head, as he scribbled the note on a piece of paper. He knew he needed to write a will as well, so he did that quickly. His writing was perfect as always, and the writing was written to look as if it had been well thought out and not written in a rush.
He passed the note about the werewolves to Enoch, and tucked his will into a drawer where it would be easily found. He set Alice on the bed, frowning a bit. "Alright. Anything else I need to do?"
Enoch took the note and put it in his cloak, "Nothing here unless you wish to tell anyone else. I will give you two a moment while I place your letter in the throne room. When I return I will have more information for your daughter." he put his mask back on and exited the room.
Alice had just sat there the whole time, taking everything in although she felt numb. Keeping her gaze fixed on the door, she nodded silently to answer Phillis' question.

Phillis shrugged. "I'm not sure. Sometimes bad things just need to happen. But don't be sad, okay? I'm really lucky to have survived that. My parents died of an attack just like that. Considering the odds, I made it out pretty good." he smiled a bit, and then rocked her back and forth lightly in his arms. "I'll come and see you whenever I can. I might look a little different so don't be scared, okay?"

Phillis hugged her back and laughed a bit. He couldn't tell if the hug was hurting him or not because in that moment he was completely indifferent to the pain. "I'll do what I can. I promise."
Alice buried her face face against Phillis' chest and tried not to cry again. After a minute, she said quietly, "Papa... You'll really come whenever you can? Y-you won't forget about me, will you..?"
