Enoch gazed wide eyed, he had no idea what to do not only that but this was his first encounter with something magical and it talked to him! "Dante, I'm a dead or something.... This can't be real."
The wyvern stood. It was now calm and now knowing the two were strong, seemed to show them respect. 'My name is Kagero, and wise, I would choose that word. Just experienced.'
"It is real, my friend." Dante grinned. "Although the definition of a beast is one who does not think like a humanoid, and does not have any bodily shapings of a humanoid, some can still speak."
"I am Dante, and this is my friend Enoch!" Dante smiled, bowing slightly to the creature. "I apologize for harming you! If you would like, I could help mend that scratch," Dante spoke, refering to the wyverns neck.
The wyvern seemed to almost smile as he looked at Dante, "No it is fine Dante, it is the sign that I was bested, it must stay. And as for you, Enoch, this must be your first encounter with a dragon or wyvern."
Enoch looked at the two still in disbelief, "Uh no never....Wait so why not talk from the start hmm?" he asked the wyvern.
'We do not allow our voices to be heard by those unworthy,' he answered, 'But now you are, Enoch, Dante, you have gained worth from me, and all others. They will sense your worth and communicate. That is only the ones who have intelligence, some are feral.'
Enoch finally bowed after realizing he should. The wyvern looked at him funny, 'you know you own me do you not?' he asked before turning to Dante, 'No need to thank me, I should thank you for sparring me.'
Enoch's eyes widdened again unable to say anything.
"I do not understand, though, I can understand that you owe us only respect, maybe. But to own you personally? I think that is odd." Dante chuckled. "Certainly in reality you owe us nothing."
'Is this not how you humans work also. If one soars you your life you are to owe him yours? Perhaps it is exaggerated with dragons....' the wyvern answered. Enoch looked between Kagero and Dante, "But why me then?!"
"You did not kill him, maybe?" Dante shrugged. Turning to the wyvern, he smiled, "I suppose that saying works, but at the same time we usually mean it in the sense that if they are in trouble, whether our life is at risk or not we will try and save them. So, kind of the opposite of an eye for an eye. The same idea, just in a better way."
Kagero nodded in understanding, 'This I understand now, but a word is a word. Would you like me to fly you?' he asked the two. Enoch stood a little confused, the wyvern was obviously confused. Dante was the one who sparred him, not him. "Uh, Dante... Want to ride?" he asked a little unsure of it himself.
Kagero leaned down and made it so it would just be a large step to mount. Enoch got on first and held out his hand to help Dante up, "I'm not for sure how to do this," he chuckled, "Do you?"
'Dont worry, I know a thing or two,' Kagero says. After Dante mounts Kagero takes a few steps to build up speed and then lifts of the ground. Soon they rise high above the clouds and the view stretches far in every direction. Kagero straightens out his wings and lightly glides through the air.
Enoch hadn't enjoyed it much.... His thoughts were not on the great feeling of flying, instead they were on what was to become of him. He had no choice, he had to tell Dante. Ignoring the question Enoch turned his head back to talk to Dante. "I need to tell you something..."
He really didn't have a choice, he had just got a wyvern. He can't hide that as Dosise. And he wouldn't bring himself to do the alternative, which was push Dante off of Kagero. He took something off his finger and handed it back to Dante. It was his engagement ring, "I'm... I.. I don't really know how to explain this.."
Dante stared at it for a moment, before it finally clicked. He smiled softly, "I thought I recognized your voice from somewhere. I havent seen you since her death. How have you been holding up?"
Enoch took the ring back and placed it back on his finger. Yes, he wore it as Enoch and Dosise. It was one connection he would never let be undone. "As good as one can I suppose... I am a disease Dante, you wouldn't understand. But wherever I go destruction and death follow. I can't escape it, it surrounds me and smothers me... Even now when I try my best to keep clean, Another takes my name and threatens to overturn everything I've worked for."
