Welcome to Avaleur, a medieval fantasy roleplay site where anything is a possibility. Face bandits, or knights. Work your way up to become part of Avaleur's castle, or try your luck at being a thief. Own a shop, be a guild master, start a family. The possibilities are endless.
Lorelei had been in Avaleur for a month and had only interacted with those whom she co-stared with in the theatre. She had to admit, Avaleur was pretty amazing. They had a huge war and avoided social interaction but would still go to the theatre to see a good show.
She performed a song and dance she'd become famous for in Paineston. She sat in the middle of the stage, as men tap danced around her singing 'Oh, you beautiful doll.' And at the end, Lorelei would stand up, say "Who? Me?" in the sweetest most innocent voice she could and then dance off stage. It was simple and paid nicely. She was part of few other acts, but that was where she fit in.
After the show ended and everyone was gone, she liked to practice her tap dancing on the stage. So, as per usual she practiced her dancing for awhile longer enjoying the quiet of the empty theatre.
Sanaki had been invited to a the show after healing someone who got caught up in they war they insisted on paying and he figured he needed a little downtime as healing so many people was stressful.
After the show he decided he would stay and mark his student's test papers and noticed one of the cast members had stayed behind as well, her dancing was good and he wanted to compliment her but his ever lasting shyness made him sound like an fool "U-um y-you d-d-dance very well!" he called out from the seats and fought the urge to hide.
Lorelei immediately stopped and turned to face the voice. "Who said that?" she yelled in question, looking around. She didn't wish to punish him in any way. After all, he gave her a compliment.
Sanaki's legs started to move on their wishing to run away but he held on to his seat with an iron grip, after gaining the tiniest bit of nerve he rose from his seat "T-that was m-me" he rose his hand to further clarify himself.
Lorelei slowly walked down the stage steps and down the aisle towards Sanaki. "Thank you." she nodded her head politely. "And might I ask what you are doing here?" she asked, curiously. She had no emotion on her face except for that of curiosity.
Sanaki's struggle with his shyness was getting harder and harder with each step Lorelei took towards him "Y-your welcome, and i-i was j-just marking s-s-some tests for m-my students" he was fumbling with his words more and more, "b-but i saw y-you dancing and t-thought someone should tell you h-how good you are."
"O-oh i'm s-sorry i-i should have a-a-assumed, and n-no i'm just s-sorta shy" saying he was shy out loud seemed to help him calm down a bit "s-so have you done that p-play a lot you seem w-well practiced" he figured he might as well ask.
Lorelei nodded her head. "Yes, I have done it many times before. Although, it had been awhile since I last performed. I usually sing too but tonight was cut short." She explained. "Do you always go to theatres to mark your students papers?"
Sanaki chuckled at her question "No i don't, well not often at least" he thought back to a few times he had stayed after a show just for how quite it was "but do you always go to theatres and dance, even if there isn't a play?" he hoped he didn't sound mean when he said that.
Sanaki was left a little speechless over the answer he was given, it just didn't click in his mind "A-ah right s-sure? a-anyway so do you ever get out? i haven't seen you around town much, I'm mean sure practicing must take up a lot of time, but you go out and have fun right?" he was fearing the answer he might receive from this question.
If Sanaki's jaw dropped anymore it would have hit the floor "I-je-bu-w-what!? you haven't been outside save for going home!?" he was in complete shock "I-wo-ha-nneh-no-NO! unacceptable" he was getting a little mad now.
"You know what? I'm going to show you the town even if i have to drag you by the thumbs, and your going to have so much fun your head will pop!" he knew that she spoke the truth and that only infuriated him more, he would have grabbed her by her wrist and be halfway to the door by now but he didn't want to hurt her.
He realized he was overreacting and calmed himself "I-i-I'm sorry i sorta lost it there, i-I'm just shocked that you haven't seen the town yet its so nice." he hated himself for being so mean, not to mention rude.
Lorelei tilted her head, confused. "I thought your offer sounded nice. To see town would be very fun, I would not mind a tour." She said, truthfully. She was intrigued by his straight-forwardness in that moment.
"Oh? um alright then, after you my friend" his shyness nearly gone and he waved his arm towards the door of the theater letting her go infront of him 'I'm acting stupid again...' he thought, but he hardly cared this girl had gained his curiosity
Lorelei headed out of the theatre. She looked outside the doors. "I have never been out when it was still sunny." she said, as she squinted her eye, shielding it with her hand.
Sanaki was grateful to be back in sunlight "Well thats because you need to explore more and see the world" he smiled thinking back on his years of wandering, "So do you have any idea of what you would like to see first in broad daylight?" he chuckled lightly.
"Well lets see there is: the plaza, the castle, the library, the garden..." he began naming off all the places he could remember, tapping a finger on another with each place he mentioned.
